I just did..
Seems like two type of launchers.

1. Which can lift vertically : had more missiles eg Spyder had two rows of misslie, totally 8.

2. Which can lift vertically and also rotate changing directions. Eg Spyder has only 1 row. with 4 missiles.

I looked up for MRSAM launcher ,
Which had 8 missiles but can only lift..

Now looked at our Akash NG sam.
It can also rotate, and i think it ll reach the lower range of MRSAM.

I think instead of 2 missiles we have chosen , rotational movementmovement in aakash NG

It must be a brain child of some xyz to minimize tortuous rout of procurement , a tow truck capable of towing a ballistic missile is used to carry SAMs, and people here are going high for this design.

I am not sure if above tow truck is only for DRDO Testing purpose and real launcher is some other tel.
Anyways Airforce launcher is going to be with our base.
Army launcher probably better design for mobility.

Yeah, the AF only needs static SAMs. So the truck can detach from the launcher after the SAMs are deployed.

The IA needs mobile systems, probably what we saw in a TELAR configuration.

For Akash-1 as well, the AF and A use different trucks.

Inclined launchers need to be able to rotate all the way around for 360 deg capability, whereas vertical launchers can get the missiles to fly towards the direction they want after launch, so the launcher itself doesn't have to rotate.

What about the QR-SAM project of Army? Last time it was tested was in 2020.

Being readied for user trials. Hopefully it isn't delayed anymore.

There's work happening on an indigenous SPAD-GMS too. Maybe the delay is related to that.

Maybe the army has prioritised MRSAM and Akash.

Maybe the army is waiting for the indigenisation level to reach 99%.
