The account will be wired very soon. In the Qatar order case, there was a +/- 6 month delay if I remember well between the deal and the account.
I think that even Israël have to be consider as a potential rafale customer considering that its prime minister has talks yesterday with putine.
I can smell a bigger Rafale deal coming up in a few months....
Israël can't be an option for political reasons.
France can't sell Rafales to Egypt and Israël
It's quite obvious that Israël would be glad to by that marvelous plane, and Israël remember very well how the Mirages worked in their hands. They know the qualities of Dassault's products.

Mostly Israel's defense budget is entirely paid for by the USA on the condition that they only buy from the USA. They're not gonna lose that sweet deal by buying French aircraft.
And how is attempting a mediation a sign they'd buy the Rafale? That doesn't follow.

Didn't Israel steal Mirage designs and data, develop it further as Lavi and then sell it to Chinese to eventually make J-10 ?
Nothing surprising there . Sounds exactly like how one Jew repays a favor from another Jew . In fact one should be disturbed if Israel didn't commit any such act.

We should have gone with a full mmrca deal of 124 Rafale in 2016 itself. Had we done we would have at least 4 squadrons of Rafales by now and would have got the entire 6 squadrons of 6 by 2024 and now we could have excercised optional to take it to original 189 numbers and throw some more for Rafale Ms. It would have created a strong deterrent against China. But Alas piecemeal 36 ordered after so much drama. Hope we don't regret for that decision if there is a war and we lose for not having enough Rafales...
The Russian deals are still active, but they don't really have to compete with Rafale due to the timeframe.

Yeas, my worry is why investing again on Russian stuffs, after seeing its performance.
