Yupp, needs to be looked into.@nair @Ashwin @Gautam @Milspec Are you getting all the notifications when I am tagging you all moderators. I feel some issue is there as few tags might be not getting noticed (no action on some tags, don't know if these were ignored somehow or it didn't initiate the notifications alert. @_Anonymous_ had also alerted me on similar lines.
Suggestion:- As I post more of news articles & tweets compared to discussion, I do discuss whenever I can though, hence I face a specific issue which I believe I had discussed somewhere. When I create a new thread in past (I do that rarely and I use sticky thread more for posting), and it's merged with any existing thread, I am unable to locate the thread by subject or keywords. And when I use it for content wise search, result gives lots of pages to comb through and lot of time gets wastage, and even after that we don't find the post we are looking for.
Can you look into the feasibility of a way/mechanism by which we can find a original thread, even if it is merged with another thread, sticky or no sticky thread? Hope my query is clear. Thank you.
This has been happening to me for a while too.@nair @Ashwin @Gautam @Milspec Are you getting all the notifications when I am tagging you all moderators. This is new. What message do you get when I move your post to a different thread or merge threads ? If you could look into your alerts history and quote the exact words that would be great. Bookmarks for every header, will that not be too much? Also you will have to juggle through the bookmark list to find the page. Another issue, if a new thread is merged with another thread, page will throw th error, "Page doesn't exist." Something like that.Use bookmarks ?
There is the thread where the post was moved to, NIA thread in this case. You can click that link and follow it to your post. What the problem here ?
Post number 387, what's your observation on those points raised? Thank you. There is the thread where the post was moved to, NIA thread in this case. You can click that link and follow it to your post. What the problem here ?
If you are not getting the link to the new thread incase threads are merged then from now on I will add the name of the new thread within the reason part. Or maybe I can add the link to the thread in the reason. I am not sure if that will work directly, you might need to copy the link and paste it in a new tab.

How frequently do you check your alerts ? If you don't do it frequently then it could be a problem. As on date I have to manually find the header from alert list which is above 3000 as of now, again same issue of time wastage.
This wouldn't be a problem if the Shoutbox was still here. But since the forum update its gone and well its unlikely to come back soon. I personally use the "What's New" button on the tool bar at the top to access all the new posts/new threads etc. Check in once every few hours, you can stay updated. And another important point, I could see only merged thread alert for my posts and not the thread created by another forum member.
In any thread the posts are sequenced by date. Be that a new thread or merged thread. Posts that came firsts will be displayed first. A good way of reducing the number of pages you have to check on threads would be check the date on the article/tweet you are about to post. An article or tweet has to be posted first only them it can get here. Going by the date reduces a lot of effort.1. Yes, I can see that, however challenge is that I used that as a example only because I was able to find it within 2-3 pages, it was easy to find. Problem is well defined in Post no 387 for this scenario. Suppose if that relevant post is placed in let's say page number 32, and I have no way of knowing it's posted in page 32, so I will have to check every page until I reach page 32, result is loss of time as highlighted in initial post.
I can't do that, maybe @Ashwin can help. It's just a request to check if search tool can accommodate this change, not mandatory.
Oh shucks didn't add the link before moving : Indian Electronics Manufacturing Developments : News, Updates and DiscussionsLet's go one by one points.

Hahahaha. So funny. By the way, I am back. HahahaIf one has to read nonsense, I prefer reading @screambowl or even @kshitij sharma. Why, even @Guynextdoor or @Arsalan123 are tolerable. Let me take the opportunity to announce a full bottle of Black Dog to anyone who can explain to me what goat *censored*er here has posted.
