In India business basically means buying low selling high a.k.a commission agents. Horrible fact is that this type of behavior is basically indulged by established business houses having good political connections.
I want my men in uniform to have what they want. They didn't just ditch whap,they did thorough evaluation of that product. Remember the army had inducted Insas in past,also not so long back they even placed bulk orders for Aksh missile by totally ignoring the fact that it weighs 700+kg per missile.

With all of these modern capabilities, a 3-man turret like this would have a great option for the in-service Arjun Mk1 and in-development Mk1As imho. It would have shaved a few tonnes off the tank and made it more lethal.

TATA WhAP 1 is a bad product..... This thing has gun ports..... WhAP 2 look promising but look like they didn't remove those side ports still.

The front profile of the M&M version gives off Boxer-ish vibes. Hope the design will evolve further over time. We need to ditch the obsession with 25t max wt. Mobility is important, yes. But can't compromise on protection and firepower.
