In Pakistan, the government was flat out denied to even see the causality count. People there are not crying out for that.
In India we are going all ga ga ga over everything.

In war and security, freedom democracy transparency etc does not matter. What matters are advantages.
Again the comparison with Pakistan! Their public know very well what they are dealing with, the moment ISPR open the mouth they know he is lying.

And I want to clear this once in and for all this is not about freedom or transparency this is about messing up a very brave operation by sleeping. You have to release something better release it first and get credibility instead of releasing more details after the damage is done or better dont make a claim at first.

May I ask how does it help our security and defense?
Those who need to know, are already knowing.
They are fixing any lacuna even before we have realized.

How did us knowing help?

Another point.. How did us knowing right now help? Would it have been really that bad, if this information had come out 10-15 years down the line?

Lol....did you know BRF until 27nth Feb had complete details of most of the IAF pilots in their website. They only came to their senses after Pakistani's used BRF to find who the captured pilot was.

I saw that already and I hate that.
There were things which should not have been made public.

1. Tracks from Phalcon. I would not have liked that to be made public... Now PAF knows and can guess our degree of dependence.
2. F-16 tactical comms can be decrypted by Indians perhaps using israeli equipments / software. I hate that it is public knowledge now.
3. Second frame was in 8 seconds. I hate this data going into public.
You're labouring under the impression that the Pakistanis are unaware of all this info that you consider secret. Are you aware that the Israelis offered Phalcon to the Chinese earlier which involved in depth presentations in its capabilities along with sneak peeks into its operations before the US vetoed the sale. Don't you think with the kind of close relationship the Chinese & the Pakistanis have this info wouldn't have been conveyed to the Pakistanis? Ditto about encrypted communications being eaves dropped on. Please give the PAF more credit than that. They aren't as clumsy as the Arabs. Nor are we the Israelis.

Now can I ask anyone to tell me the deployment time of an AWACS to reach the altitutde and be in position to record ELINT/SIGINT data and also undertake sectorial jamming mission for protection of own Aircrafts?
AWACS were on standby and asked to get airborne when the movement of PAF was detected. They arrived at the station as shown by my graphics in another thread. They were to the east and while they recoded all this, they did not control the combat. The whole combat was controlled from ADDC. No where in the world, air combat is controlled from ground if an AWACS is in the area and ready to perform the duty. The AWACS radar can be switched on from the moment they cross 5K feet height and their coverage of radar increases with increase in thier altitude.
Afaik it was the su30mki
Including upgraded M2K. Which have an outstanding ability to record all this.

Primary was by AWACS feeding to Su-30 high on station feeding enhanced awareness to Mig-21s.

Jamming by Su-30. Sectorial jamming by Phalcon

Secondary was through J&K based ground controllers and not Punjab.

Punjab was directing another flight moving towards general direction Bhawalpur to divert other Aircrafts assembling in Northern Airspace of Pakistan to nullify the platform advantages PAF was trying to achieve

Yes. I know. Infact on this forum I was the first person to post it. I copied it from BRF. I even got a video of Abhi-Vart from sometime back.
I asked @nair then to remove that link as my post was already quoted.

My folly and stupidity. Since then I have been really careful about such things.

SU-30MKI can get feed from whole lot of other sensors also. We have one of the best netwroked air defence systems in the world and IAF acquired a satellite of thier own like IN a few months back, If I remember correctly. That satellite allows real time data transfer from nearly every sensor and network it to every ADDC.

There is another platform we wont even talk of. This is not even the tip of iceberg.

That effing platform was in their airspace and the c^%$# dont even know it.

I have been indicating that everything I say is in open domain.
Israeli satellites with SAR capabilities apart from other high secret paraphernalia?

Here is the very basic of basic in any secure 'thing' or 'protocol'.

DONT EVER SHARE ANY DETAIL OR ANY INFORMATION. PERIOD!

I think Indian forces adhere to it. I don't know how a particular piece of information can be used. I can guess someways though.

BTW, I have seen very very non-specific and seemingly public information being used to exploit systems. Details matter in security.

I think I know what you are talking about. A bird, a very very large bird.

Nah other AF knows nothing and we are doing something really unique and secretive.

Ask this to IAF, if they were not feeling they are getting doubted all over the world will call this briefing? and even in this brief they barely gave anything you are being over dramatic as if we gave away some secret. They are professionals they know what to share and what not. When you make a claim you need to provide something to back it, so if you are not ready to provide that better dont make a claim at first.

And since this is your 3-4th post stating as if we gave away nuclear codes I would request @Falcon and @vstol Jockey to pitch in and tell us how much this information being public will damage us.
