Yeah we do not provide details on time even when PM make boastful claims in every rally and after 2 years when those videos mean nothing we release them. That time neither capability is exposed nor operational matters comes to mind..

What Videos, some obscure videos which were released an year later. Every country was briefed after that strike. Every country knew what exactly happened.

If we are going to release the data or any other evidence this is the best time to release otherwise just say no other evidence will be released and we got it, that is enough. Whats the use of releasing it on later date? For Balakote strikes, I heard a theory of not releasing the pics because it will expose the resolution of satellite, this can be very good excuse for digitaly illiterate people but people who worked even a little bit with photos will find it very absurd...

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. I can't predict what will and what won't happen. For reasons unknown we are not releasing it. Or even if we release it we are not going to see anything new. What if the bombs destroyed only soft targets. Will releasing pictures make any difference then ?

Oh I am not worried by that article alone, I feel it is an indication of things to come and its a part of buildup of misinformation, this misinformation campaign is going on right after the strikes and its time to put an end to it.

Personally, the only reason the misinformation is not being countered is that by the time the entire situation ends, Misinformation will not matter. Results will be crystal clear for the world to see.

All Right people Calm down
IAF briefing over , proof released

Read the Entire Thread

I saw that already and I hate that.
There were things which should not have been made public.

1. Tracks from Phalcon. I would not have liked that to be made public... Now PAF knows and can guess our degree of dependence.
2. F-16 tactical comms can be decrypted by Indians perhaps using israeli equipments / software. I hate that it is public knowledge now.
3. Second frame was in 8 seconds. I hate this data going into public.

So you mean that our journalists will
Capture IAF secrets and Release them
To the enemy
Dude - here is a better idea - it will put all doubts to rest.

How about you gather all the twitter warriors from India and give them a weapon each (rod, hockey, tubelight, hell get some crates of soda bottles for grenades). Lets invade Pakistan. Judging by the josh of the twitterati we should reach Sargodha by 0Hr+12. Then we can count for ourselves, take selfies and raise slogans to our heart's content. Ok so who is in ?

Almost same things that are going on from a month on forum, except new vague details on location, what did you find worth keeping the secret? That we were monitoring PAF Tactical formation communications?
Small specifics have emerged. Lastly this was more of a reactionary meeting. You make mistakes when you are reacting.

Folks, in crypto-analysis.. there are attacks which use defects in the algorithm and its design.

There are other things which are called 'Side Channel Attacks'. Things like timing, things like energy consumption etc etc etc. Little specifics which will be otherwise useless can break a very secure product.

I find this meeting to be leaking things analogous to that in context of our national security... This 'Side Channel information' can be fatal.

Yeah, and you will be reacting more in coming days if you still dont come ahead of this narrative building. Few things should be nipped in bud but we let them grow with lines like "oh who cares what world think of us" if we didnt care why this briefing?

This is new battleground, old examples of even Kargil wont matter, you see a problem address it immediately otherwise it will become large. I was indifferent of this article till the time ISPR tweeted it and made it formal. A denial before with the lesser number of facts would have nipped it in bud but no we have to play "who cares what other think of us" "oh dont be so name conscious". This attitude must change.

I hope the Proof Dikhao brigade is happy now....

yes- this is because the government wanted to convert this into a poltiical control opportunity instead of letting the IAF do it's job. They didn't want the IAF to brief or give infomration but instead put politicans are primary information source. They did this to make sure the press understood they are 'information arbiters' and only writing good things about the government will let them get exclusive access that increases ratings. In Kargil all journalists got their briefing publicly and together, today some journos get faster access for being 'good boys'. India's diplomatic credibility be damned.
The decision to go public is always with the GOI. I am sure IAF has advised them pros and cons of going public with our capabilities. Even the decision to go public will be taken with IAF onboard.

In Pakistan, the government was flat out denied to even see the causality count. People there are not crying out for that.
In India we are going all ga ga ga over everything.

In war and security, freedom democracy transparency etc does not matter. What matters are advantages.
