Hope the IAF is deriving the right lessons from Feb 27th and not letting hubris drive them high post Gaganshakti & there by taking the nation for a ride as well.

Astra has been ready for some time since mid last year. The only thing remaining was its mass induction. things would have moved slowly had 27th feb lessions were not learnt. That it is entering mass production only means That this will be doen within months for the entire fleet rather than years.

I have used this same argument before in the same form, the "except" is the keyword that hides the true picture, you can apply that except Punjab and you will get similar results in Pakistan during Modi and Doval.

Doval has said multiple time that the only way to control terrorism is to make it unaffordable for Pakistan, instead except this stand off it has become very affordable for them. They are not scared of a bomb blast in Pakistan even if they kill 50 Indian soldiers in India. They were supposed to blew Pakistan into shreds(as Modi said in an interview That he will make Pakistan understand in the language Pakistan understand) not much have happened.

Whatever hope I had from his 2nd term was shattered yesterday when India made unilateral concession, there is no such tweet from Pakistan regarding airspace, maybe in a day or two. Seems like exchange of sweets between Sushma Swaraj and Qureshi worked and some deal is reached. A sudden jump in intelligence based operations against Terrorist in Kashmir could be because Pakistan gave them up in exchange of de-escalation and third parties pressure to deliver whatever was promised on 27th Feb night. This will not end terrorism in Kashmir, it's tactic for buying time, Pakistan will start terrorism in Kashmir the moment they are comfortable with extra vigour.
You need to segregate issues before branding anybody as a success or failure. Reducing terrorist activities in whole of India is no mean achievement and current government certainly deserves credit for that.
Regarding terrorist activities in Pakistan it has certainly reduced in Punjab, but not in other areas and that still keeps their Army occupied. Is it costing their economy? Hell yes!!
Remember it’s not an open war and India can not afford to extend it’s support to Pak freedom fighters beyond a point. The price of getting exposed at International level is simply too high. So when Doval made that statement of shredding Pakistan into pieces, I would see that as a long term goal (2030). Expecting Pakistan to break down in 2-3 years is little to optimistic. Looks like @randomradio has passed his sense of optimism to others as well :).

Regarding opening the airspace, personally I didn’t like that step, but would refrain from jumping into any conclusion. Historically we have made blunders by giving concessions to Pakistan. But when I discuss with my Pakistani friends, they admire that unlike Pakistan, India didn’t fall for the false sense of bravado and rather focused on education and economy. And the net result is India is moving towards a $10 trillion economy and Pakistan is running around with a begging bowl!!

Sometimes you need to loose the battle to win the war and in this war, I wouldn’t judge the outcome based on few incidents here or there.

BTW...why "Shoopah Phawah" india is bowing to Pkaistan by removing ban on use of Air Space?
Isnt India oh so rich that the losses to airlines matter not? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Dont worry pakistan will remove ban one way or another before your icecream boy meets chookidar.

Most likely Dimran begged for it when he called up Modi to congratulate him on his victory. "If you aren't inviting me over for your inauguration, at least open up the Indian air space for Pakistani planes & I'd reciprocate soon " Is what he likely said.

Ab iftaari kar lo maamu, roza lag gaya aapko. Ghabrao nahin, bus kuch hi din aur ki baat hain. Phir katora liye Eidi maangne jaoge apne Aqa - arabiyon ke paas.

Be sure I am not eating up your tax money and responsible for defense of this country and its citizen.

Be sure I am not the one letting this country down.

India's position Today , vis a vis Pakistan
Is Far Better than what it was before
February 14

This little conflict has helped India immensely , just like Kargil conflict

Pakistan Army after the Kargil Conflict had
Gone on a 2 year conflict on the LoC
When we finally Subdued them and Muharraf Begged for Ceasefire

But this time Pakistan has been Tamed in just 3 months , It is now desperate for De escalation

It's a silly article. The R-77's service life is 12 years, and many of the initial batches had much lower shelf lives. So the R-77 is merely approaching the end of its shelf life and needs to be replaced.

Bro, can you please tell me what happened in Tarbela? How many killed and how? or would you still live in denial? Your silence is golden for us. We can keep hitting you mercilessly and you wont even admit it.
Hum tumhain rozana nanga karkay thok rahay hain. Yaad rakhna.

Indians and their wet dreams

Really, Do you know about Operation Ginger? The two officers of Pak Army who had tortured Capt Kalia and his soldiers and mutilated their bodies were tracked by our intelligence for three years. The main guy was than posted in that area where Operation Ginger took place. Our SF guys went in to avange Captain Kalia and his jawans. over 25 Pak Army guys were killed including that Major and his head was chopped off and brought to India to be nailed on a tree within the compound of the Brigade to which Capt Kalia belonged. The second officer was killed five years after that as he was undergoing a course in UK. We killed him as well.
We are now tracking the ISI operatives who tried to torture Wg. Cdr. Abhinandan. All those guys will meet the same fate. We Indians never forget and nor forgive. Badla toh liya hee jayega.
You abducted our retired Commander from Iran who was not even a spy. We abducted your ISI operative of similar rank from Nepal. This is our capability.

Take the day off.
Without randomradio around your pessimism is getting a bit too much to handle.
and also rants without an iota of sanity and circular arguments are making me worried of you missing on your Prozac timings.
There is a ignore button, try using that instead of making personal comments if you don't like my replies.

Also don't try to be my nurse, my reply won't be so decent next time, learn to talk with respect.

The Sqn targeted was the same one which had violated LOC-Sherdil sqn. We don't forget and we don't forgive.
The very fact that we've opened up our airspace flies in the face of the logic that we may have targetted the F-16 base in Tarbela. But as you've pointed out before, we can either take the news at face value or leave it.

We had very openly stated that revenge for 27th is due. We did it and told Pakistan very clearly that now it is up to them. They decided to cool it down and we sent a very clear signal by a tweet from IAF that we have accepted their request.

Was there something big?
Will ever pakistan accept that?
Have they accepted downing of an F-16 by a Mig-21Bison?
