Once upon a time Bengal had most industries and see what marxism did to it? Industrialists who looted the money did it with help of politicians. We need to bring to justice those politicians also. Only thing that we need to borrow from china is their policy of hanging financial fraudsters. There is nothing wrong with our system otherwise.

Time for calm is over....we have failed are youth & there future period....Greed, lust, ego & religion has destroyed this country. This Hindu Muslim BS won't suppress the growing anger & resentment among youth as well as people for long.....dictatorship like north Korea has better nourished children & healthcare than superpower India so does Cuba & Venezuela & there never have been a Marxist state in history so don't know what are you talking about.

over 90% of youth who are graduates and post graduates will not be even 10th pass if we did not have reservation system and mass copying in exams. I know of Professors who pass failed SC/ST students in exams just to avoid being booked under SC/ST act and being blamed for being castist. This is the horrible and untold truth of our education system. No one will talk about it but everyone will tell us that post graduates had applied for job as a sweeper. Well the truth is that they deserved to have EDUCATIONAL qualifications for the job of a sweeper only but the stupid policies made them post graduates.

Their educational qualifications are far better than current PM & most BJP MLA....have some sympathy for unprivileged ones...They didn't have rich daddy ,good environment & most important links to climb those socioeconomic ladder like you.

Going through this video, you will realize why rural economy and consumption has drastically shrunk... It all boils down to destruction of unorganized and small scale sector, massive massive job loss on lower end of spectrum, which initially reflected well as some production shifted to organized and was reflected well in GDP figures post Demonetization and GST, but earlier lost unemployment later drove consumption down in even formal economy. Later followed by a era of fear of ED/IT and viewing all as criminals unless proven otherwise kind of economic management - took remaining confidence and willingness to invest for fear of prosecution of failed or due to vendetta politics large in play.
Just look at the way electoral bond scheme is run - its legalized scam and Whoever is in power can find out from SBI which industrialist and people contributed for opposition electoral bond, based on serial number of bond encashed with corresponding purchaser of bond from SBI records and use state machinery to go after or harass them, resulting in democracy being afraid to vent out anger and support opposition as means to support them will come with consequences for themselves, net result 90% of electoral bonds going to one party. And as RBI had correctly advised, those bonds now are freely traded and passing hands for underhand dealings, anyone can enchash them just open a party on your name or relative names and encash them.
Why need to send Suitcases full of cash as was norm in Congress narsimha rao era, when a simple electoral bond certificate can suffice, which you can later encash legally. Legalized corruption and destruction of economy in full play.
Since GOI is not consulting economic specialists instead following quack economics, let me state very clearly, all those who are saying Economy is about to turn about, tax collection has been good or economy has already bottomed out - the malice is much much deeper, without resolution of root causes and introspection, Current 4.5% which is closer to 2.5% as per earlier calculation method, GDP figures will tank further.

These are nothing but shallow statements which have no practical value. This is what some capitalist countries use to propagate that their (crony)capitalism is good and other system is bad. They often point to countries that have failed but disingenuously fail to mention that they connived & conspired to bring down those countries.

If you look at capitalist country they also have social welfare programs like unemployment benefits, govt provided health insurance ...etc Just dont be carried away by some bogus misleading propaganda statements. There is no one system that 100% correct , it is just ppl who make it work better.
 
The GST collections for Nov month are a big indicator of things to come. Lowest in last two years was in sep 2019. Oct saw the trend reverse but that was also partly due to festival time. But November has significant increase in GST collections. This shows that recovery has started and we might close FY 19-20 with an overall annual GDP growth of about 5.5%. I expect the Q3 GDP growth to be about 5-5.2%.

(Bloomberg) -- In the heart of New Delhi’s largest wholesale bazaar, merchants who normally compete with each other have united against a common enemy.

“Amazon, Flipkart!” one merchant after another shouts into a microphone from a small stage in Sadar Bazaar’s central traffic circle. Some 50 other shopkeepers gathered around shout back in unison: “Go back! Go back!”

The sit-in, which created more chaos than usual among the rickshaws, motorbikes and ox-carts plying the market road, was one of as many as 700 protests against Amazon.com Inc. and Walmart Inc. -- owner of local e-commerce leader Flipkart -- that organizers say took place at bazaars across India on a recent Wednesday.

Predatory Pricing

India’s shopkeepers are mobilizing against the global e-commerce giants, alleging they are engaged in predatory pricing in violation of new rules meant to protect local businesses. At stake is the future of retailing in a country with 1.3 billion consumers, where Walmart and Amazon have sunk billions of dollars trying the crack the market and capture its growth potential.

“Amazon and Flipkart are a second version of the East India company,” said Praveen Khandelwal, national secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders at the Delhi protest, referring to the British trading house whose arrival in India kicked off nearly 200 years of colonial rule. “The motive of Amazon and Flipkart is not to do business, but to monopolize and control.”
