Indian Political Discussion

MP is still neck and neck, and Rajasthan is heading towards a hung assembly. MP could also end up hung.

Ah, entertainment.

BJP core supporters have been seen recently arguing that BJP will come into power because of absence of alternate.

Voters seems more interested in throwing them out without thinking of alternate.

Feeling of revenge triumph everything else.

Very good news. So much Cow politics and lynching is moving the country more backwards in the Hindi heart lands. Hinduthva fanatics were acting like a bunch of rabid animals for some time wheres the entire region is continues to be nothing more than the biggest shithole of India.

Hopefully, this will make then change course (which i doubt they will) and start focusing on things that actually matters for this country and for its future.

The agenda was always development, but development in these regions is impossible without reforms.

The only way these regions will develop is if the lowest rung farmers are taken out of the picture and given more stable factory jobs, while children are given proper education. But factories cannot be set up without major land and labour reforms. And obviously children cannot vote, so no point spending money on them.

And yeah, farmers need to get rid of their cows once they are incapable of giving birth. But those who are not involved in the beef industry do not understand that. So cow politics does play a bad part in losing votes of farmers.

I think your reading of the situation is erroneous. Unlike UP & Bihar, the Congress has always had a robust party architecture in these Hindi belt states including Gujarat where they've been out of power for nearly 2 decades , as the last state elections clearly demonstrated.

These have been clear bipolar contests, where anti incumbency seems to have played a huge part in CG & MP.

Yes, I also agree that Modi has won here.
