How come the Congress won in CG / MP / Rajasthan then? I never came across the BJP raising EVM objections then. You and people of your ilk prompts me to vote BJP all the time, irrespective of their record on minorities. For they have some integrity courtesy the RSS unlike the Congress and its clones - the regional parties who used popular slogans to legitimize themselves while promoting dynasties, crony capitalism and development which filled in their pockets in the garb of socialism.

I think its other way around. South Indians are literate illiterates and sell their votes, North Indians are illiterate literates who know the value of their vote and don't sell it for money. Till date none of my South Indian friends has been able to answer as to why money plays such a big part in South Indian politics if people are really well off and literate?

No, these are things you guys say to console yourselves. South Indians are literate and educated and have better healthcare and are better administered. North Indians sell their votes, poor, illiterate and vote BJP etc.

why would people who are rich have to take oney, meal and rum worth Rs.1000? This means a lot for bhaiyaaji of central India who under oppressive BJP governments but not for the Rich and educated South Indians.

That's what I read too; apparently now its customary for them to receive all of that plus household appliances/items/gifts from every party - then they cast their vote as they would. South India has literally turned elections into a True Festival of Democracy
