BJP would do well to keep quiet about the whole episode wearing the face of the victim and garnering as much sympathy as possible.This unholy alliance will collapse due to its inherent contradictions . Please remember the bigger goal is the 2019 general elections. Once that's in the bag , Operation Needaramiah can proceed aggressively.

I am happy that Yeddy resigned. I was against this move of BJP to form govt by bribing MLAs. Now they should break away MLAs from JDS+Congress and defeat them on the floor. There will be many heart burns when the Ministerial posts are allotted. So it is just the beginning-beginning of the end of JDS and congress in Karnataka.

Portfolio allocations etc clearly aren't decided, what I don't get is, why did DK Shivakumar stick by Congress? I don't see them making him Dep CM (he and HDK are both Vokkaligas, and Parameshwara - a Dalit - is most likely).

DKS could have likely jumped to BJP with his 10 MLA's and become Dep CM under Yeddyurappa.

It is already facing a backlash from its core voters. JD(S) will be finished totally with this move, i would say a brilliant tactical masterstroke by Amit Shah.

I am very happy that Yeddy resigned. Now Congress and JDS will be finished in 2019 elections. Congress is corrupt to the core and JDS has been out of power for very long and need to tank its finances thru corrupt means. BJP did a smart thing by saving its money instead of wasting it on buying MLAs.
