Nobody in western goverments ever took Dimran seriously . They knew where the real source of power lay & only paid lip service to Dimran . Secondly , I'd imagine whenever the US wishes to renew it's relationship with Paxtan , it remembers the role Paxtan played in Afghanistan.

Of course that's no disincentive for the US for if it has decided on such a course of action , it will proceed nonetheless. As of now it doesn't seem to be the case.

As far as Fauji Foundation goes nothing beats US aid both in Money or weapons . Unlike the Chinese the US are more liberal with their aid not so much with their weapons which is definitely of a better quality as compared to the Chinese.

OTOH , the Chinese don't offer aid only loans at a considerably higher rate of interest & other strings attached. All this makes Fauji Foundation nostalgic.
