So Pakistan has exercised all the non military or semi military options like diplomacy, bilateral pressure, economic options, propaganda and proxies through infiltration and has failed miserably in all of them. Still they are not exercising the last military option itself shows low morale and lack of trust within their armed forces and Generals. Para SF do operate across LOC and also at times for counter BAT operations.
but i'm not sure about the 2:1 numerical superiority. After all, the SSG would have had training, thoug not as much as the Paras, but enough to atleast escape

Strategy doesn't matter much when you are trapped, look at that terrain man, if someone is waiting for you as good as PARA doesn't matter if you are Jihadi or SSG you are going to meet your creator soon.
Remember some time back IA installed cameras(thermal I think) with AI across large area, it proved so effective that terrorists aim become destroying the cameras.
