News reports and OSINT now confirming build up of heavy artillery, inclusive of preparation of multiple firing positions, near LoC. Ammunition is being stockpiled at forward dumps and from the lull in heavy weapons usage, assumption must be made that orders have been issued to conserve ammunition.
Artillery concentrating on key positions opposite to sectors important logistics and communication purposes. It appears objective is to limit freedom of logistics movement. Intensity of mule trains to forward posts have increased, suggesting build up of small and medium caliber weapons and ammunition at Forward posts.
No report yet of movement of heavy engineering units and equipment which would indicate preparations for possible offensive. But with skilled teams and adequate acclamatization they can be moved as late as 24 hours before any scheduled offensive. No report also of any major troop.build up in any significant way.
Thus all indications as of yet point to a potential defensive preparation, even potentially preemptive defensive preparation.
