India has no long term strategy for dealing with terrorism or pakistan. Its just show business for elections and after that every thing is forgotten. These things and targeted killings that are taking place will keep continuing. The govt has no balls to take on the king pins of terrorism supporters like mehbooba or mullahs in kashmir.
we should have expected these kind of attacks will take place and already created a plan for it. Govt kept boasting about 370 abrogation as a big success and ended losing sight of the large goal of wiping out the anti-nationals.
Problem again is that we are reactive not pro-active. we have not wiped out the base of the enemy but just hunting the foot soldiers. More drama is generated for a toothless yasin malik conviction but not much action is taking place against radical islamic parties like jamaat which are still active. Current govt has a big mouth , small brain they tend to start celebrating & boasting even before we reached half the way in battle against terrorists.
There were proactive measures not much talked in mainstream media with respect to VDC formations, what required is urban defense committee as terrroist seems to be doing everthing which can be picked up with camera..
Seems like terrorists killing civilians are trapped.
Only presence of retired army personnel colonies with firearms can make Hindu settlement, less civilians will be willing to fight when India is full of opportunities.
The actual answer is to relax civilian gun ownership and give preference to hindus in gun ownership. Allow them to be armed against these animals.
By using VDC's we are shifting the onus to the civilians, it is not a good long term solution. Ideally we should keep giving them problems so that they dont have time to create problems for us.
