Our military is certainly impressive on paper, but we have barely begun modernisation.
The navy is first class. The air force has more than adequate air power and air defences. But the army still needs artillery, SAMs and new rifles.
The army has barely begun inducting Dhanush, M777 and Vajra. We need these in enough numbers in multiple units, which is going to take sometime.
Army SAMs are woefully inadequate, based mostly on 60s tech. Only Akash has come in. We still have to induct MANPADS, QRSAM and MRSAM.
Rifle, carbine and LMG inductions will only begin next year onwards. We need 3rd gen ATGMs as well.
So you can see that the army is not ready to fight a war yet. They still need 2-3 years to get the weapons necessary for Pakistan alone.
And lastly, it's a very bad idea to go to war without a working BMD. We are going to look extremely stupid if we get nuked now when a working BMD would have saved us 20-30 years of effort and millions of lives in just the next 2 or 3 years.
War is extremely unlikely right now.
I hope there is something installed. But I doubt it's enough until the S-400 and AAD/PDV combo are fully deployed.
Security cover of Hurriyet is being taken away, don't be surprised if some of them are killed in coming days. They are used by Pakistan to keep the valley at certain temperature and if some idiot crosses the line and pose grave danger they themselves tell security forces so as not let anything big happened. They get enriched from both sides, yesterday attack they failed it and been failing from sometime therefore outlived the utility and now getting dismembered.
India meeting every major country envoys along with P5 members.
Small riots in Jammu, Kashmiris being targeted, in other places too terror supporters targeted physically or job/university they study.
Protests and prayers in every small to big town, public heavily enraged.
Signals of direct military actions, maybe convert too but direct action seems more probable.
Most RW governments should not be dared as they are left with no option but to do it. Pakistan or somebody in ISI *censored*ed it up big time, Pakistan is on verge of bankruptcy, a war will destroy them completely and also the democracy. Things went out of hands, too many lives lost, can see the Porkis pissing in pants as they never expected this.

Not even Bajwa can handover if he wants, too much islamization, can invite his death or open mutiny if done so. Even after so many humiliation Pakistanis still can't stand humiliation from India, will prefer if the army dies for them instead of bending. Time for Pak Army to earn the bread and walk into slaughter house to face the inevitable.
They will ask for a mediator like USA, put terror leaders under house arrest or some court drama to escape from the wrath ... Until atleast for the next 2 months .
Just like how they escaped from US after OBL..
Don't think things are that simpler now, matters are out of hands. Even if nothing happen overtly some serious convert actions will take place.
It's not upto Modi or politicians now, soldiers and security establishment wants blood.
Despite having 50 billion dollars compared to 5-10 billion available for PA, if we are not in a position to take punitive actions, that reflect sheer inefficiency and incapability of our armed forces.
More reasons to disband them. They are non performing assets NPA.
PA is obviously in a worse shape than us. Their battle tanks are all vintage for example.
But in our case, even though we have more money, a huge chunk of it went into the air force's and navy's modernisation while the army was ignored. So now we are suffering for it. The only big ticket stuff the army's received during UPA was T-90s, Akash, Brahmos and some Dhruvs. The worst was obviously the artillery, which was ignored for decades, followed by infantry; no rifles, BPJs, helmets etc. The UPA had not even bothered to replenish the army's ammunition stocks.
The army's modernisation started happening only after Modi; new rifles, BPJs, helmets, 3 types of artillery, MRSAM, NAMICA etc.
So the navy and air force are ready to go to war, but the army's modernisation has been so badly delayed that we can't even dream of going to war.
By then they will have MIRV tested and deployed. What will you do then? This is not a game of weapons.
Wars like this need to be fought inside the heads of rulers. Toys always come and go.
No it is a useful exercise to later prevent
Condemnation or Calls for restraint
Otherwise these same countries will make a Hue and Cry in UN
And call our Ambassadors
Some of them will even organise protests
Outside our Embassies
So Pakistan will become a Victim and India
A Villain
