Using indirect fire to destroy their stuff and make them spend money on rebuilding posts and bunkers across the entire IB, all the way down to Gujarat, but now I don't think it's worth the cost of lives.

After the security was withdrawn I thought it will be matter of hours before few separatists are strangled and put the fear of god in them but I was wrong we are still winning hearts and minds and more than political leadership we have security forces to blame for bearing this.

This was my initial response, there's a difference between drubbing brainless Arabs, none of whom have nukes, versus taking on Pakistanis - but at least the Israelis TRY to do something; even if it doesn't always work. Even when it comes to dealing with Iran, which is developing nukes, it's well known that Israel is pulling out all the covert stops to mess with them and foil their nuke program etc. That's still more than we can say about ourselves.

Everyone makes such statement, China described them Asian tiger and what not and see how that turned out. Best if they are integrated in Saudi designs, they will bomb Iran and Iran will bomb them back, to era of daily bombings.
That's a good thing. It will strain Pak relations with Iran, already made worse with that terror attack they faced.
There has to be an economic cost. People are screaming for war. But, with what objective?
1. Will a war stop Pakistan from sending jihadis?
2. Will it stop giving them protection?
3. Will it result in any advancement of goals?
4. What is our long term objective?
5. What is a cost, which makes life miserable for the opponent?

5. This cost has to be borne by the PA and the political establishment. The people of Pakistan will be collateral damage. The quicker we come to this realisation, that there will be collateral damage the more efficient will be our response.
I would recommend going for a slicing strategy across PoK, starting from southern areas, north west of Jammu. Specifically, the Mangla dam area, Mirpur district. This dam controls the irrigation to a lot of the Pak projects. In the first move, bring this area under our control. Do not escalate it to other areas, unless Pak decides. Once occupied, do not return the area and claim as our own.
Once achieved, this brings the tiny finger area which portrudes into India, north of Jammu into picture. Capture of this area will reduce the ability to PA to target Jammu.
This will ensure, we are not crossing the IB, yet taking back territory. It also creates a rupture in the belief of the Pak occupied Kashmiris, the PA cannot defend them. Allow existing residents to exit over to other parts of PoK and re-populate the area with Kashmiri Pandits.
Let me tell you about a broken economy which kicked the posteriors of a first world economy back to moons. Its called Vietnam.
