Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

Its not false analogy, its a simple fact : superior infra and equipment can be overcome.

Thats said, if it is decided that we cann't fight then remove the false pretense and surrender unilaterally. Let China take ALL the claimed land. Hope it does not repeat again.
Everything can be overcome if we face a life & death situation. Right now we don't.

As far as your second comment goes it's a rant. The reason why we've had the clashes in the first place was because we refused to accept what the Chinese offered us as a fait accompli. Had we backed down like in the UPA era, there wouldn't be any skirmish & the Chinese would've gobbled up the area they were claiming as they've done so many times in the past .

I'm truly surprised this distinction escapes you & other ppl of your erudition out here .

What surgical strikes can India do on China? They don't have any balakot type terrorist camp that can be dismantled.
Surgical does not mean only balakot like operations. It can also mean lightening transborder attacks for effect.

Epic trolling.. Indian Army Aukaat..
So, is there any justification now to maintain 2 lakh troops on the LAC.. and incur huge expenditures on salaries and pensions for these guys, when India is not in a position to use military force against China..
Do you even know that deployment does not matter except for few areas as far as the standing forces are concerned? The pay bill remains same.

But first we must withdraw from all those meaningless post 1993 agreements.. But, I don't think Modi has the will..
One post I agree with. We must bury the 1993 agreement as it amounts to giving up our claim on Johnson line of 1865.

Thats what I was worried. South block was sleeping on the wheel. These procurements should have been done in may.
We did this during Doklam too. We have a saying in kannada that roughly translates to "Searching for a place to sh*t, only when you are about to sh*t yourself"

What will you do if in 1 year you hear China has inducted 50 J-20s? And 30 new AWACS?

Last I heard a certain Vietnam fought against USA and kicked them out ... hard.

That won't change anything, diminishing returns.... Come on you are thinking too emotionally.
We have created a small base of Scientific and Industrial ecosystem that would expand exponentially in next 10 to 15 years if given the right direction, all of that would be destroyed. Where does Vietnam stand?.

Whenever we are thinking of war with China we have think of Pakistan too, any serious decapitation of our airforce by China and Pakistan would take advantage of it and then we risk losing territory in North-west India..

We need to first think why China is being so aggressive? That's because of our messed up procurement system. First we need to fix that, when our military is strong, everything else will fall into place.

1.5 days of meetings.. to come out with this..?

No dear, 50 fifth gen fighters won't do anything against 5-6 Rafales? I don't agree... besides be realistic. Do you really think 1 year will be enough to integrate them in IAF? Tactics? Training? Maintenance staff training? Nope.

Indeed.

That vietnam today is more industrialized than India. More preferred destination of companies fleeing China. Has a better record for managing covid, which is/was very recently zero deaths. That is better than Korea and Germany.

Not that it resulted from that harsh war with USA, but just saying they are doing well.

Oh before I forget... did I tell you Vietnam never had and never has any nukes?

We don't have Rafales, AWACS or Refuellers. There is no point in fighting now, we won't be able to inflict serious damage and might even lose some territory and then would have to negotiate from even weaker point.
Better to wait for One and half yaer more, we will have sizeable number of Rafale's, most of the infrastructure will be completed by then. if government has any sense they should remove embraer from blacklist and get two more AWACS ASAP.
But then again, government is filled with idiots so I don't have any high hopes. The problem with this government is they don't want to do major reforms in MOD and procurement system but have a very big mouth.
Are you sure Sire?
Isn’t it better to wait some more say 1.5 decade or 1.5 centuries so that we can have intergalactic ship. Laser guns and time travel machine.

China has been super aggressive across the board including Taiwan, Japan, US, Australia etc. We are just one more data point in the pattern. BTW, this is not the first time. Same thing happened in 67 too. Except a certain major decided to pay back in kind. Those passes have been peaceful ever since. In 1967, China was a nuclear power. India was not.
