Is there any othr way when ur caught napping on the job. Chinese were building up for last 2 months and we waited like monkeys to see what is going to happen. It will also take time for us to do the same but albeit we need to be twice smarter than them.

A grey zone (disputed territory) is supposed vacant. The moment some one unilaterally occupy that, it's a change in the status quo.

In the last 20 years China built up their logistics around the fingers area, which allowed them to have a presence between F8 and F4. If the new development, which i hope is not true, allows a more permanent presence between F8 and F4, then in the next decade we will be witnessing more Chinese non permanent presence between F4 to F1 and in the coming years be prepared to see Chinese demand the ITBP post in F2 be removed.

I have a feeling that it is just the matter of time, PLA will start hostilities against India. China is threatened by Indian reaction towards Pakistan and abolishing of Art. 370. They feel that their is CPEC threatened. So they are trying to tie down India. Nepal and Pakistan are just pawns in their game. For India though, Pakistan and Nepal are headaches. We are in deep shit both strategically and diplomatically. It will take a hell lot of efforts to clean up this royal mess.

Nothing will go past finger 4. It is not sure if we could even go near finger 4 at this point. Chinese dug Kms of trenches along finger 4,5 regions and built fortified positions up in the mountain slope.
Unless they pull back, or dislodge them with military means, patrolling beyond finger 4 is not possible.
