Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

To all of you above who have posted. I am in complete disagreement. Let us start by starting the war with Pakistan.
In my village from Dilli Dehat, which is same as Haryana, we believe in taking out himayaties before taking out the actual enemy.
And why do you think that China won't join at this stage??
let me tell you one more thing, Jaat Buddhi in battle is ultimate buddhi.
I would still prefer Brahmins of Magadh.

Get H1b and eventually become a us citizen and lobby for indian projects in DC :p

Actually there are many people(NRI) who would do that but they don't because of the attitude of MEA and they end up dealing with people in India directly to avoid government lethargy through NGO, Yoga and other basic stuff. Indians are loved overall. It's the MEA which is due to its internal non professionalism is not able to streamline things. The Indian diplomats, majority of them don't have adequates, they don't know how to behave while meeting foreign dignitaries, they lack knowledge and are narrow minded. Compare it with the chinese counterpart, the diplomats are very smart, knowledgeable, technocrats and very fine tuned.

If you are more worried about your career than seizing the moment for India, sirf duty hi karni hai then why blame politicians and others? They too look for their own future.
When you set up a system where "duty" is not enough to serve national interest, you are already setting these folks for failure. There is a reason why I deride stupid dabba-walla and politicians. They setup the folks underneath them for failure.

There is a world of difference, chinese are on a mission to conquer the world and Indians simply exist. When we still keep garlanding every foreign white skin like a bunch of monkeys we will be treated as one. Historically ppl change/transform to meet the threats/opportunity, japanese did that in last century, chinese are doing it now and Indians will never do it.

No war will happen simply because
China Does NOT want casualties

They had a tough time hiding 43 casualties

Add to it in a war there will also be a loss of territory in some places or areas

So the war will not terminate on their wish or desire

And the World reaction will be totally against China , infact other Asian countries will be emboldened to take on China with US help

This Chinese aura of invincibility and superiority will come crashing down

I'm pretty sure that's what China wants India to do.

They want the entire international focus of their COVID handling to shift elsewhere.

Instead of playing by their rules, we need to make new rules. For example, we need to push forward and permanently take over territories where we have the advantage, for example the south bank of Pangong, even Depsang. Either Bhutanese troops or Indian troops could take over South Doklam. Push the ball in their court.

Commander in field has more power than political boss, he can force the hand of government if he wants and govt will have no option but to act and to honour him, Abhinandan did it just few months back.

You are absolutely right that individual has to stand up for what is right, whether it is military or any where. Its more of a culture , attitude that has to be inculcated across the society or organization. T N Seshan is a good example who showed that if some one wants to do the right thing they could do it , it certainly takes a lot of courage & conviction. Quite often we focus on the end result than the effort which is quite discouraging.

Domestic Public Opinion is very Fickle Minded

That is true even for US

George Bush lost to Clinton after First Gulf War

" It is the Economy , Stupid " ---- This was Clinton's Slogan

Similarly in US today
Trump has done a lot in Confronting China and preventing illegal immigrants from crossing over from
Mexico

But Opinion polls show Biden leading
Because of the Pandemic and the Economic crisis

Here in India , Modi has raised oil prices to give free Rations to poor

Will the Middle Class pay more Taxes for FINGER 8 in Some obscure Lake
Called Pangong Tso

We could have done that today provided we had MORE war fighting assets

So now we have to wait for some years
OR better still wait for Trump to be
re-elected

I don't understand that why this is a prevalent thought among strategic community. The more Chinese show belligerence towards their neighbours the more their deeds of mishandling the COVID crisis would be reminded to the international community and more it will get united to target China. Only way through which Chinese have achieved this objective was by showing unprecedented kindness which of course they can't.
