You have a point .
All we need to do is to donot allow Chinese to directly link to Karakoram pass through those areas.
Maintain a heavy military base there .
Use this opportunity to strengthen our industry and economy .
I think that us the exact thought of the Indian policy makers .

For that we need to quickly reduce the gap with Chinese .

Fighting either Pakistan or China now is of no benefit to us even if our economy was strong and on track.

The Pakistanis are busy imploding, so we only need to apply pressure whenever needed and at the right place, like the LoC. The Chinese are also doing a very good job shooting themselves in the foot while dragging their unwilling poodle along in the mud with them.

By banning Chinese apps, the Chinese most likely never imagined we will destroy their most important weapons. And the domino effect of this is entirely unimaginable. Imagine what will happen once the US joins in, and all the countries that follow.

In India, although even Chinese phones are used to steal data, it's mostly the middle class and poor who use such phones, whereas the rich get flagships of non-Chinese companies. But the rich end up using Chinese apps and get their data mined in the process. This will put an end to that.

As far as I'm concerned, we have already won this battle. The ground situation will change once winters sets in. What I'm hoping for is this has to become a permanent part of our diplomacy, and should not be linked to the LAC anymore. We have incredibly created a whole new LAC in the digital domain with just this one move, completely independent from the Himalayan LAC and we have to fight to control this new digital LAC.

We have just started

The end objective is to minimize
Chinese imports and support manufacturing here in India

*Ahem* Do you remember these two incidences over past several years?

1. Fappening.
2. Chinese "Mod-Chips" in SuperMicro server boards?

Put two together.... Now tell me, can you be sure that ALL the data is not compromised one way or the other by China?

War with China and Pakistan will Happen. Whether we Like it or Not

Because BOTH are ROUGE NATIONS

It is a Question of WHEN and Not IF

Since a War is Inevitable in Future
Our only aim should be that this War must happen at a time of our Choosing

We need Maximum internal Preparedness and External support in this war

What, the rhetoric shifted from Aksai Chin humara hai, Jaan de denge to banning apps is new LAC and we won the fight?

Lmaoooooooo

Honestly, I kind of feel disgusted at this point at this GoI. Next they'll ask why kids aren't patriotic and buys Chinese phones.

Bhai, our GoI gives up access to land so that they don't have to face consequences and asking junta to boycott Chinese. Joke badi achhe marte hai Modiji.

Bhailog, Sikkim-wikkim ghumke aaye kya within 2024? Nahi toh woh bhi...

Possession is nine tenth of the law. People don't seem to understand that.

That's for local real estate laws, not for territorial disputes between countries where nobody lives.
Lemme ask you one thing, what makes you so sure that world will be able to pressurize China? So far China has scored two victories already : Annexing and removing democracy from HK and defeating India thoroughly without firing a single shot literally. What gives you confidence that world can "pressurize" china? Diplomatic pressure won't work. "Tawks" wont work.

HK is for the West to worry, not us. As for India, they didn't defeat us. It's your definition of defeat that's weird.

COVID is merely a one recent phenomenon. Does anyone remembers a Malamine in baby formula scandal from a long time back? China was not even that strong power back then. How much of impact happened? Ziltch!

Mark my words, all news paper can publish ONLY China China China Covid Covid Covid and nothing will happen. You friends will be buying RedMi even if you wont. My stupid MacBookPro will still be made in China.

Be ready, next year or may be later this year we will be talking about a change in status quo in Arunanchal Pradesh. Then Sikkim. Then Manipur. Then Assam. Then Himanchal. Then Punjab. And may be by 2030 (if you are still interested) we will be talking about how much India will loose in Gurugram or outskirts of Delhi.

Time will tell. I can't stop you from whining until then.

Just something for all you guys to ponder:

I had installed Remove china app in my phone Oneplus. The app is nowhere to be found. It means it uninstalled on its own. I downloaded the apk and tried installing it. It (the phone) refused point blank.

THE PHONE REFUSED TO INSTALL THE APP.

Modafoka.

If you are into net banking from your phone or keep your passwords or other sensitive info on your Chinese phone or cloud but access it through Chinese phone, its a major security risk.

Change it ASAP.

Haven't checked it but they won't be affected. At least not now. However I have deleted all my net banking/mf apps from the phone. Basically I won't be transacting financially on this phone. Have handed it over to wife. This phone will now only be used to create use fb and create vids. :sneaky:

As for me I have switched to LG V series for my personal use.

Sugest you guys also switch to something safer.

Within our security system, we mostly use our own stuff. And in time the usage of domestic systems will only increase. All thanks to sanctions on India in 1998. So, unlike how Supermicro boards were compromised in the American security system, we escaped that.

Take our NSM mission for supercomputers. Nothing in it comes from China. The first two phases are based on license production with a French company, and the third phase is based on our own design.

As for civilian tech, companies that have the sense to do it will have to diversify outside China and customers who are rich enough to buy high end products must demand that. Similarly companies involved in finance and security must make sure their hardware is sourced from non-Chinese sources. In time, it may be possible to use indigenous designs as well.

But what's important is, if day-to-day apps are removed, then the Chinese will find it extremely difficult to build a proper profile of the user. For example, Wechat gets to know everything about the user, where he's been, what's he's eaten, his financial position etc, while at the same time it delivers propaganda directly to the user's phone. But stealing piecemeal data from a server hack doesn't help much.

The situation at LAC will take months or even years to resolve. The current record stands at 7 years a few decades ago. The most famous one under Gen Sunderji stands at 1 year.

I only use Paytm on the phone supplied by a bank account which doesn't have a lot of money in it. For everything else, it's the desktop.

Btw, I have the remove China apps on my phone, but it's not called "List All Apps & Uninstaller". So I'd recommend searching for it. It doesn't show China apps anymore, just lists all the apps you have. But it should be able to remove even the apps that cannot be uninstalled. So you can do a search for an apps ownership and then uninstall.
