Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

She was the MEA spokesperson during the Kargil conflict if I'm not mistaken & during the Agra summit. She was good in that capacity.

That means she should only say what others tell her to say. :ROFLMAO:
This is textbook Chinese policy. India should not budge with China sitting on F6.
They must go back & beyond F8.
Also, I really have my doubts about these movements. It is highly likely that the rise in water there has caused this and not our talks.
If that be the case, they will be back the moment the water levels are down.

I think pre-April is F6.

I'm told momos & tea - Indian style with plenty of milk, sugar & ginger isn't a good combination ( causes plenty of gas, apparently) unless it's salted tea Tibetan style with plenty of yak butter. What's your opinion?

You have any doubts regarding MEA? The MEA people are messengers they don't contribute much in foreign policy formulation.

I think pre-April is F6.

They are bargaining now like business men. India claims whole Aksai Hind, so they want to divert it from that to point area specific negotiations.

I was actually enquiring about momos & Indian style milky sweet tea.

MEA already failed, Shringhla , Jaishanker all are China specialists, what did they acheive, 20 dead bodies of Indian soldiers? Finally Military had to take things under control for negotiation. Total failure of MEA!

@Falcon , Sirji, I saw you are writing very gloomy stuff in another platform, But we have not lost any territory anywhere then what is the reason for your pessimistic view?, Also did we know about Chinese buildup in advance?

MEA was always under the impression that LAC issues can always be tackled by the MEA babus. The current standoff has been a rude awakening for these guys. Because, smooth talking without a credible threat of military action, does not work when push comes to shove.

I suppose telling you that all those border agreements we signed from 1993 onwards which held the peace till 2020 & bought us enough time to improve our infrastructure , modernize & upgrade our forces which we didn't implement in full measure is a waste of time.

I think it's the other way round, Chinese did agreement with you to fetch more time to upgrade themselves to later breach the agreement when they are powerful and that has happened. Luckily, you got 6 years before it happened under MSD (Modi Shah Doval) some how survived the sh*t. But they will return. Fix your MEA to atleast get Nepal Sri Lanka and nearby countries in your favour so that you don't have to burden yourself with 3 front 4 front problem.

Even on this day, it's not Jainshanker but NSA Doval is speaking to Chinese foreign Minister. What's the use of this man then, when every time be it Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia or China Doval has to intervene. Looks like other countries are more interested and more confident in dealing with Doval than this suited booted MEA ka afser.

No, that hasn't changed. This situation is about the actual physical control of the territories.

I am talking about the physical control only. They want India to forget Aksai Hind , just like Pakistan tried to negotiate on Siachen, by making Siachen looking different from J&K problem, through Kargil.

So status quo ante is F6?
Any confirmation on this?
If so, did we concede F6 - F8 during 62?

Our media has started dancing as if we just defeated China in a war :cautious::rolleyes:
Status quo ante will be the grey zone between F4-F8. Both sides patrolling till these points. If this is not the case, then there is no status quo ante but status quo as on date.

2017.

It has nothing to do with going to war. We can say they are preparing for war when the USMC starts landing exercises in the SCS with other countries and allies like Japan and Australia.

What they are doing right now is pretty much a Trump reelection campaign, nothing to do with India.
Won't argue further. Just wait for couple of months.

Gotta figure out if we lost something during the process of this disengagement.

People in media are hyped up a lot.
We need a detailed & proper report on what happened during the disengagement to find out if we lost anything.
F4 - F8 is still a suspect for me, unless proven otherwise.

Give it 5 days. I am putting my money of Chinks being Chinks and pulling some stunt.

If they have not done it already.

Basically what @Jaymax said. The Chinese could be pulling wool over our eyes. They probably underestimated the weather for this month and may come back after some time has passed, possibly during the fall.

But we most definitely should not reverse the economic gains we have made. The price should be an equivalent opening up of the Chinese economy for Indian investments in exchange, but definitely no apps. The apps have far reaching consequences and must never be reversed. Rather, more apps should join the list, including making room for future app bans as well.
