Winter is fast approaching. Any action now is highly unlikely.
Even if something is planned, it will be mostly after the snow melts.

Actually action just before snow is preferable ,as it severely restricts the potential of a massive incursion on the ground.
India needs a small but visible action .
Their is a reason why we dont go to full scale war with even the green chaddi mask wearers, full scale war is never the preferred route. Waste of resources.
No point in waging war against a much more superior military.
India's preferred reaction is around a 100 to 200 Chinese bat eaters dead with undeniable independent verification.
As i have said previously, take out a few Chinese officers with snipers. Its a low escalation action, which sends the message
Thats my assessment based on my experience with their civil sector. They are producing military equipment independently for years, while India has been announcing its intentions to produce independently.
Even if we successfully repel their initial attacks, a war of attrition would tilt in their favor due to a much superior production sector.
Unless we think we can fight like the vietnamese against the Americans or the Afghans, we have no gun culture, the Chinese do enjoy a substantial military advantage.
Now being inferior does not mean accepting s...t from another country , but exactly what have we done after the Mumbai attacks or the parliament attacks against a inferior foe ?

My assessment being a normal civilian is , no matter how much superior production sector you have its of no use when your logistics is destroyed . And how much ever superior PLAAF is to IAF they can still make sure the logistics supply to PLA in Tibet is destroyed if PLA thugs chose to escalate it big .
So lets stop making a 12 feet men out of these PLA thugs
Dont misunderstand what i have written. I am totally for limited action against the Chinese, actually its a necessity. But lets not fool ourselves with self delusions.
People on this site talk about taking tibet , etc.
When the bullets fly , only actual capability will matter. Neither will our capability magically improve nor will the Chinese capability suddenly deteriorate. All this tibet talk will be rapidly replaced with practical talk.
India should initiate some limited action just before the snow comes in.

Why I shared this particular video is because we are assuming either we will start evicting PLA or PLA will move forward. In this binary, we are giving little weight to US actions because we may pass on such an opportunity where odds are in our favor but US is not India with ahimsa and prithviraj syndrome.
US is opportunistic and can open a small theater to restore freedom of navigation in SCS, put on a show for domestic and international audiences. Given mismanagement of covid-19 in US and hate among Americans towards China for unleashing virus, it's highly probable that Trump will try to stoke nationalism to win election. Beside this fact, US deep state too feels like this is an appropriate time to humiliate Xi and CCP.
The question is opposite, what will we do if US start a skirmish with PLA? Have we got their back? I bet babus will still advice Modi to not open fire at LAC even when all 200 nations + aliens are fighting against China.

An ancient caravan trade route between Ladakh and Kashgar (now in Xinjiang, China) has been revived by India as an alternative route to access the vital Sub-Sector North (SSN) in Ladakh. The Karakoram pass, Depsang plains and the airfield at Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) are part of the SSN.
