Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

Anyone can explain how come 5 height got captured without firing a single bullet. We are talking about minimum 300 PLA troops just step back. Any idea. And so close to the base PLA camp. Even 50 PLA soldier could have hold position against 500 of IA and can call for reinforcement from PLA camp in less than 1 hour.
We moved in on the heights on the southern bank of PT and that decieved PLA into believing that we are interested in those heights only but we simultaneously also moved on the heights on the south of Spangur Tso which allowed us to encircle the PLA from all sides and dominate the road linking Spangur Tso garrison of PLA with Rutog. Any single move to the southern bank of PT would have exposed our own forces to encirclement and being sandwiched between the Northern and southern bank by the Spangur Garrison of PLA.
The heights were unoccupied. So I figure the Chinese were attempting to make their way towards the south bank of Pangong Tso that's on their side of the LAC. This position would have allowed them to see across the lake towards the Finger areas in the north. But by taking over Helmet and Black Top, we basically took control of the road that goes to the south bank, since the mountains overlook the road, which must have forced the Chinese back since the position became untenable.

Yes. But our move on the hills to the south of spangur was a major tactical masterpiece. PLA never anticipated this move and now they are completely encircled with no resupply available to them. If you may recall my post with two maps, I had very clearly stated that when we move from the southern bank of PT, we must also move from the south of Spangur from Rezang La side to threaten Rutog. Our forces have done exactly that and I agree with the tweet of Baba Banaras that we have blocked the road joining Rutog to the Spangur Tso garrison. Without that move our own forces would have been on the recieving end. The PLA garrison around Spangur Tso have only two options- surrender or die fighting to the last men. PLA has been friends with Pak Army for sometime now so I think that they will prefer to surrender. A man is known by the books he reads and the company he keeps. PLA is in august company of PA now so they will behave like a typical surrender army.

Is it possible for anyone to explain the chain of events on a map?

I doubt it is even him who is writing.

He never writes anything seriously .... there is a certain style to his writing.

You would know if you had followed his blog orbat.com and different iterations of it ... :)
Oh it's him alright. I renewed my acquittance with him after a long time by protesting the high prices of his book on a DM in twitter. He was shocked by the prices the publishers were quoting , claimed his ignorance & lack of control over the whole thing & was considerate enough to mail me a PDF copy of his book promising to mail a PDF copy of his forthcoming book too if I couldn't afford it. Can't say if I was more overwhelmed or embarrassed.

It's the words of a man coming to terms with his own mortality. I'd leave it at that.
And was Bertrand Russell doubtful of his quote? or was he completely certain?
Are you genuinely like this or did Strat Front do this to you?

Does India have chemical weapons ? Incase we are on the defensive, no harm in using them. Nuclear becomes too obvious but chemical weapons are borderline and effective.
Also what about napalm ? Are we suitably stocked.?
Reason for this is that the Chinese understand a good beating. They have kept the peace with the west because of the trauma of the 20th century at their hands. India needs to dish out the same to the bat eaters.
No quarters should be given.
No, and we destroyed them under chemical preventive convention.

The talks happen at daytime.
So.......Floodlit ? At daytime ? What lights were they carrying ?
Not necessarily, talks do happen in dark also, both natural and seasonal.

According to this guy Nitin, IA have not occupied Black top. None of us really know the current positions..

Just a suggestion. I use kindle unlimited on Amazon. Most of Ravi's books are there. If you read a lot you will find value in the subscription.

Aye, that's the problem. I'm old fashioned. I prefer the feel of paper while reading otherwise it's just not meant to be read with me.The stationery I consume makes my superiors grit their teeth & juniors circle their eyeballs. But the paperback / hardback is in excess of 2.5k . That's criminal.
