These kind of statements are exactly what leaves an egg on your face if anything goes wrong.
Chiefs should stick to the - Ready to defend the nation comment. Else they become targets for Ridicule.
China has hegemonic design behind its every move. This is the reason why China will create many enemies and few friends.
they should avoid naming the countries and use the diplomatic word enemy. He could have said any place from where attack originates from will be dealt severely. This statement should come from foreign minister / defence minister but unfortunately our foreign affairs is the official peace corps who will not utter a single threatening word and always are bending backwards.
they think that is a smart move to use pakistan while they walk away unscathed. One thing is sure that chinese still fear us, its only that we dont realize that. More or less due to the idiots in foreign affairs who practice bending & crawling all the time.
It never hurt US' forces reputation when they take whole NATO's help to bomb deserts of Afghanistan but it will dent into PLA prestige if they take on a nuclear armed, 4th biggest military of world with her allies?
We are a fool if we are basing our response on these hyperboles.
