It means that we patrol the area as per our perception and they do it as per their perception as the LAC is not a defined border but a claim line.
if it was indeed agreed upon and acceptable, our government would have at least issued a press note or a journalist would have been given a scoop. Instead we are hearing about it from Chinks? Whats up here?

It shall be contingent to verifiable, demonstrated draw down of troops by the other side, prior to any, if at all, drawdown of troops by us.
What about those areas the PLA has occupied since Apr 2020 ? Does this mean we eventually go back to what the situation was in pre April 2020 ?

Infantry is still there it seems. At best its a climbdown. I guess we ll keep positions where we have advantage, Chinks can walk upto Finger 4. Situation has not resolved.

Chinese and Indian forces clashed in the region in May and June 2020, resulting in at least 20 Indian and 45 Chinese servicemen dead. Following these incidents, New Delhi and Beijing increased the concentration of forces in the region to about 50,000 people each.
I still am interested in how many have died post galwan due to the weather? Heard some pla troops died due to hypoxia and other stuff due to lack of acclimatization...
Feels strange that PLA casualties came out on same day of disengagement, surprisingly on Russian media.
I will believe the entire thing once it happens. Multiple times before this we have heard talk of disengagement and it always ended with the Chinese betrayal. Another thing that we need to be wary of is, the time it will take for the Chinese to come back and occupy the place vs the time it will take us to mirror their mobilization in the case of eventuality.
Also Russian media claiming 45 Chinese were killed when the Chinese media has been deliberately mum is weird. Is this the beginning of a falling out between Russia and China?
I feel like Russia has been incentivised by India some how which made this happen.
