"Re-adjustments" are the new vogue. Why should we be the only ones doing it ?Did anyone noticed that Chinese defence minister's tone has turned defensive from offensive? Now he talks about defending Chinese territory.
India has already banned 100 plus Chinese apps. We call on all freedom-loving nations & companies to join The Clean Network: US State Department quoting Keith Krach, US Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment pic.twitter.com/ktaAM7IdHw

Looks like the Chinese PLA have yet again started playing music bang on the LAC in Eastern Ladakh. In 1962 they played Man Dole Mera Tan Dole and Tumsa Nahi Dekha on loudspeakers to befriend or divert attention. Wonder what songs are being played now. Teri Gali mein aata nahi?

"Rich" is a stupid invention of yours which basically means nothing.
This historically has been the "Indo-Tibetan border" (a term India must start using again). Local Himalayan people—e.g., Tibetans, Ladakhis, Arunachalis—are best suited to safeguard that frontier as their distinctive genetic features allow them to breathe easily at high altitudes

So, I tried to paint a rough ground picture of the region around the LAC on a topographical map.

IA has taken a lot of pre-emptive actions and occupied multiple peaks (accross Indian perception of LAC), surrounding the Chinese posts and tank positions, acting as a direct threat. pic.twitter.com/gtg5jxAM38
From these positions, IA troops can keep a watch on every surrounding path of the Chinese armour and posts, with eyes on the opposite side of the F-4 area of Pangong Tso. It's a chakravyuh which has surrounded their posts. There's no running away.

Sadly, you missed the point completely. Although I agree with everything you said, but US would never allow any country to reach even half of its conventional might. PLAN is already bigger than USN in terms of warships. Chinese are rapidly modernising their air force and land force. So yes there is a real chance of China overtaking the conventional capabilities of US in coming decades. If you think US would wait for it, then you are wrong. The problem is people really think the Chinese are ahead of Americans. But it's just propaganda that is good for both Americans and Chinese but mainly the Americans. This Pentagon deliberately does this to secure more funds for operations and "projects" while the Chinese are deluded into thinking that they are actually close to the Americans. Most of the high tech American tech is not even on display for most of the time. The lax attitude on economic front and diplomatic front of the Americans should not be considered a lackadaisical attitude towards Military. That is what makes those people Americans. America is basically a war fighting corporation. They feed on it and have deliberately nurtured the Chinese as an enemy...
I agree that conventional deterrence has played an important role in preventing war b/w major powers, but if you analyse the present Geo-Political situation it doesn't exists. The amount of Nations ganged up against China and the sum total of their conventional might far surpasses what Bejeing has to offer. It is coupled with the firm belief that co-existence with China is not possible. The range of conflicts of interests are as long as it could be. And yes there is US factor too. Do you think US would let go this golden chance of scuttling it's only rival that could challenge it's global supremacy??? IMO answer is a big NO.Things have dramatically changed since world war 2. 21st century warfare, specially which involves mighty nations, has the potential to cause 10,000 casualties in a single day on either side which no sane nations are ready for. Mighty nations prepare for war so that there will be no war. War is enforced on those who are not ready for it and if they try to run away from it then territorial or some other kind of loss is certain.

Agreed, however you are still ignoring Pandemic. Is this the best time to wage an all-out war on a de-facto superpower without adequate preparations ?
FM Manekshaw would differ.
There's a time & place for everything & this is certainly not it. Hence, the limited objectives being pursued.

If you have a source then post it otherwise buzz off.Why don't you look up what the UN, IMF and WB consider as this stupid invention called "rich".
And yet we captured Siachen in 80s. Go a bit back, we actually pushed Portugal from India with entire europe and USA yelling at us. We annexed Sikkim. Won skirmishes with China in 67 who had support of USSR. All this superpower "won't let us do it" is a super excuse. Our entire military buildup in the 70s and 80s fizzled out upon the realisation that the superpowers won't let us do anything on our own.
No, China captured our territory and secured Tibet. It caputred Tibet and is keeping it ever since. Where are superpowers then?China also learnt it the hard way, which is why they went quiet for all these decades.
Have you forgotten China's claim in south china sea and its aggressive patrolling and exploration of the area? Or China's claim on vietnam's water? Or constant nibbling of Indian territory? Those are not new. China has done it in one form or other for very long time. No super power was consulted. The very reason why their last war was only in 1979, thereby leaving unfinished business unfinished.
