That's why instead of Balakot those SPICE 2000 should have dropped over ISI HQ which was actually closer. Until and unless top leadership of Pakistan and India at stake common soldier will keep dying. Within few days a peace framework or war blueprint will be implemented once it goes to higher level.

A few Km here, a few Km there, it won't stop Pakistani terrorist, only war with high casualties will deter them for few years.

Pakistan prepare jihadis from childhood, from twisted religious teachings to normalization of violence and jannat so there is not much of solution expect complete annihilation, installing new setup, current leadership is born out of the same old jihadi system they can never make Pakistan a civil country, they are still stuck in wet dreams of Gazwa-e-Hind.

GoI has something else in mind for now it seems. Take a look at the LoC. We pounded the seven shades of hell out of the Paks. After that, each time, we picked them up, dusted their clothes and said - Dobara mat karna. Just like a Chlormint ad.

Yesterday I was watching a 1-hour lecture of Lt Gen Bhatia, a former DGMO I was shocked at his thought process!
He was out there literally advocating that we should not carry out any covert activity in Pak funding insurgencies citing morality! How does this kind of ppl with poor strategic thinking make it to the top?! The only time he made sense was when he said that we need a dedicated Information Warfare wing!
Also, he says that PAF purposedly missed the targets at Rajouri!!!!- Any thoughts on this @Falcon @vstol Jockey

Simple he don't have any idea what happened that day, the gud thing about Pakistan is they controls their media perception about their army so when ever their tweeter army chief aka ghafoor says they shoot down su30 or missed h4 target' was intentional just think it's another cover up, in pak military establishment they give more priorities to have more uper hand over Indian counterparts by stating them as Martial race and invisible force so they limited even their Central government system to notify the casualties happens in loc this proves they just controlling the perception of a stronger force by muteing a lot of mouths, in India ita ia not the cause where freedom of speech used in both ways, closing note if 1971 war happens now gafoor says they donated east Pakistan to mukthi bahi rebels and 90k pak soldiers in India come for year end vacation

I have been a strong advocate of restructuring armed forces, especially in the thought process. Many punjabi generals (not sikhs) have softcorner for Pakistan and not just that, there are many others who have joined armed forces only to work as a civilian.

These people are the basic cause why Indian leaders never had any confidence in taking decision. These generals to avoid over time at HQ and stressed situation have always advised their senior politicians not to take a severe action against Pakistan or even China. This caused the morale weakness in the armed forces all together because when the commander is saying not to be hard on Pakistan there is danger of escalation then you can imagine what would be the state of soldiers.

This is one reason , as soon as Doval took the charge , he wanted a change in military leadership and thought process, he deployed military in Kashmir from soldier to colonel ranks at the field for them to experience and do what they have joined the armed forces for. Other wise years of inactivity in the army caused them to be bureaucratic than military.
