If you don't have butter you eat only bread. If you are running out of bread, you dig for roots and collect berries. Why? Because otherwise you die.Jags will be in operational service beyond 2030 and Hawks even longer, because we kept ordering and producing them till recently and that shows, how much trust we have in British platforms.
absolutely no idea.
There is another solution : a double central pylon. You loose the central external tank, but the 2 mains under the wings are free to be used.Nice try, but there are multiple problems here. First of all the source, which is not really reliable. Secondly, your claim that the PESA has the same range as RDY, as far as I recall the old reports, it performed less. Lastly, the biggest problem for Meteor on Mirage, is not the radar, but the size restrictions on the fuselage stations =>

Meteor is much longer than MICA and the gear bay opens right in between them. So unless we would integrate it on the wings, like the old Magic missiles (blocking an important wet station), Meteor is a no go for Mirage 2000 and probably also the reason why French air force is not considering it, but MICA NG EM instead.
P.S. I am not the only that doubt the suitability of the radar.
It is simplistic to characterize the range by the link balance. For example, it seems highly likely that the Swiss did not appreciate the radar range of the EF in "look down" mode. At Thales, the only explanation found was the poor frequency stability of the Captor's receiving chains:P.S. I am not the only that doubt the suitability of the radar.
“We’ve made clear that if those systems were to be purchased, the CAATSA statute would require sanctions on the regime,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said at a Senate budget hearing.
CAATSA still exists, I though they would have morally scrapped CAATSA by now.US Pledges Sanctions on Egypt If Purchasing of Russian Fighter Jets Occurs

Last I recalled, lot of threats & tweets to India on CAATSA were coming our way (coercion to India bad idea), India went & did a flurry of deals with Russia, just to make a point, must have totaled atleast a dozen billion plus since, somewhere down the line, all threats stopped coming, few which did didn't have the intensity.
So they migrated to small fish like Egypt, to capture the market illegally by threat.
Saudi Arabia just take US THAAD for 4 billions... End of the S400 story there I think.CAATSA is aimed at the Middle East and 'enemies' of the US, not others.
So Egypt, Turkey etc are among the targets. I don't know what the US will do about Saudi Arabia though, 'cause they are interested in the S-400, as are Qatar and UAE. UAE also wants to develop a next gen jet with Russia since America is not allowing the imports of the F-35 to many ME countries.

S-400 and THAAD are not comparable. The S-400 is an integrated air defense system, while the THAAD is specifically a missile defense system. The THAAD is there to protect against Iran's ballistic missiles, not to shoot down enemy airplanes.
You're right.S-400 and THAAD are not comparable. The S-400 is an integrated air defense system, while the THAAD is specifically a missile defense system. The THAAD is there to protect against Iran's ballistic missiles, not to shoot down enemy airplanes.

The official schedule is a first delivery in September 2019 and a last delivery in June 2022, i.e. 36 aircraft in 30 months worked, which is a little more than one aircraft per month. Then between June 2022 and September 2022 there is a software retro-fit for the specifically Indian ISE.Sir, can you provide the delivery schedule of 36Rafael jets month wise for India beginning with September this year
