Well yea, I'm aware that there are rumors about an affair between her and MO Mathai. But from the way you phrased things, I thought you were suggesting rumors of Rajeev Gandhi being the son of some Muslim.

As for Indira, the only rumor I've heard is about that Mathai guy, the secretary of Nehru; I don't think it's ever been confirmed (obviously never will), but from the way some people write about it in articles, I don't totally discard it. Aside from that and certain implied relations with a yoga instructor of hers, I haven't heard of anything else - I assume the other rumors become more and more exaggerated, and likely false as well, as you go on.

The thing I enjoy (I really do) is that even today as a society, after a thousand years of Islamic and Victorian Christian prudery, we are still way more blaise about sex than the so-called progressive American society.

In the US, the hint of sexual impropriety is enough to send the whole nation into a tizzy.

In India, no one will blink an eyelid.

Frankly I am pissed off that the Parsis landed here so late. We NEVER saw India in its prime and pomp and sexual vigor.
