Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Oh noes Russian's are getting their hands on 20+ year old US made weapon systems like Javelins also British NLAWS while Ukraine captures....

Ukraine Just Captured Part Of One Of Russia's Most Capable Electronic Warfare Systems

Russia's lost Krasukha-4 electronic warfare system command module would be a prize for foreign intelligence agencies.

Acurious 'container' that Ukrainian troops captured today looks to actually represent a significant Russian loss and a potential intelligence goldmine. What Ukraine's forces found looks to be a containerized command post that is part of the Krasukha-4 mobile electronic warfare system. The Krasukha-4 is primarily designed to detect and jam large radars, such as those on airborne early warning and control aircraft, such as the U.S. Air Force's E-3 Sentry, and spy satellites.

Ukrainian forces reportedly found this command post container outside of the capital Kyiv. Twitter user @UAWeapons was among the first to identify it as most likely being a component of the Krasukha-4 system, which is also known by nomenclature 1RL257, based on a picture that had emerged online. A complete Krasukha-4 consists of two vehicles, both based on the 8x8 KAMAZ-6350 truck, one with the electronic warfare (EW) system and the other carrying the command post module.

Spin this away randomguy.
I guess we shouldn't be in the least bit surprised if some part of Ukraine comes under a barrage of heavy artillery, CMs, BMs, heavy bombings by aircrafts etc. What say sweetie?

Depends on whether it was abandoned intact or they destroyed what's crucial before abandoning it.

Plus information contained in it may not really be that much of an advantage since what's important is the antennas they use on other trucks, not a bunch of consoles and memory containing friendly signals, which anyone can get.

In any case they are not using their main capabilities in this conflict. The article also explains it.

UN chief says war in Ukraine is "unwinnable
A war "absurd" and "unwinable": the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called Tuesday for Russia to end its offensive against Ukraine, as the General Assembly is expected to vote this week on a resolution condemning Moscow. Guterres said that "even if Mariupol fell, Ukraine could not be conquered city by city, street by street, house by house".

Almost a month after the start of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces on Tuesday controlled neither the capital Kiev nor the large strategic port city of Mariupol in the south, but continued to carry out intense bombing raids on several cities.

It depends whats inside the container. Given how Russian ground forces have been behaving, it could be anything. For all you know it may have a huge motherload of software and sensitive documentation. Or it may be gutted with few kilograms of thermite and acetylene.

Yeah, it's old tech.

Interestingly, the Trophy didn't meet the IA's requirements.

No, he's communist.
So how come your tanks don't have it.

This will be the latest version.

Ruh-roh!

But... but Putin said he was dead.
Putin will probably claim that the Ukrainians are using that 1000-year soldier tech from Overlord to resurrect soldiers. And half a dozen members of this site will believe him.

This means that the US now has a cover for jamming Russian satellites too. :D

Ahaaa! That's it!

I've finally figured out what 'Z' stands for. It stands for 'Zoinks', as in.

"Zoinks Scoob, I don't think this is a military exercise."

"RAGGY! ROOK OUT!!!" *Shaggy and Scooby's BMP-3 gets blown up by a Ukrainian with an AT-4.*

Have you ever thought of being an F1 driver? Because your excuses are world-class.

Could also be a Trojan for giving their position away. Or maybe the Russian operators hadn't been trained properly and didn't know what it was for.

Meanwhile BBC treats their audience like they're Irish & Paddy here will continue to recycle the vomit they've regurgitated in spite of denying supporting the BBC's PoV.

We all know what's the worth of Paddy's denial. The poor man gets bullied by his geriatric mom aged 55 & pretends to be a man out here.

If they are sending 19 year olds to fight, I would not put it beyond them. Russia Army has been behaving more amateurish than a professional war fighting force. Guess conscription has limits.

The Ministry of External Affairs has been non-committal to press reports that China’s foreign minister would be visiting India at the end of March. Whether he comes or not, the issue of Ukraine’s neutrality can be discussed at the political level within closed doors. Maybe it is time that Europe could do with a dose of wisdom from two ancient civilisations.

The man was the MA to the NSC Secretariat during the UPA - 2 regime . Frankly , I wonder how do people like him get to where they did in life .

Russian Federation reports Shoigu's sudden disappearance

Violetta Orlova

The defence minister of the occupying country last appeared in public on 11 March.
Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has suddenly disappeared from public space. He made his last public appearance on 11 March. Journalists have not seen him for 12 days.

This is reported by Russian investigative journalists from Mediazona and Agentsyagent.

Shoigu is usually very active in the media. He has significantly increased his press staff, and the agency has worked hard on his public image.

Until March 11, Shoigu appeared in the news almost daily. Now he is occasionally remembered in the information space, but without fresh photos and videos.

Those around the head of the occupying country's defence ministry discuss that he is suffering from heart problems.

On 11 March, Shoigu presented state awards to occupiers who took part in a "special military operation". This video is the last one featuring him.

On 18 March, Shoigu was mentioned in a message on the Kremlin website, which said that Putin had discussed with the permanent members of the Security Council "the progress of the special operation in Ukraine". According to the report, Shoygu was present at the meeting, but no video or photos from the meeting were published.

On the same day, First Channel broadcast a story about Shoygu presenting awards. The story said that the event took place "today", but the channel showed an old video from 11 March.

The last news item on Shoigu's profile on the Defence Ministry's website was also dated 11 March.

Investigators note that it is not just Shoigu who has disappeared. No events involving the head of the Russian General Staff, Valeriy Gerasimov, were reported after 11 March either.

We shall remind you that the Russian military stormed the Ukrainian territory in the early hours of 24 February. The occupiers first bombed military facilities and then attacked peaceful settlements, in particular, Kiev, Mariupol, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson and Mykolayiv.

Ukrainian intelligence reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu are preparing to involve minors in the war against Ukraine.
