Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Russian fighters once again successfully captured Ukrainian servicemen in Mariupol.

Evening briefing of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

- A large warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons was hit in the area of the settlement. Nimirovskoye;
- Destroyed aviation equipment at the Kanatovo military airfield;
- Ukrainian Su-27 shot down;
- Intercepted radio communications, which prove that a significant number of foreign mercenaries are blocked in Mariupol.

But doing that is no easier than just kicking Russia from the P5.

More like the US don't want to dismantle a system that works in their favour.

Where's there's a will there's a way. Russian gas is not the be all and end all of life on Earth.

I bet the Germans and Eastern Europe will have a different opinion.
A while back they were fighting in Zaporizhzhia, so Russians are being pushed back in the south too.

Never can tell if they are referring to the oblast or the city.

Russian Ruble sees huge gains against US dollar to even higher levels than pre-invasion — now at 72 rubles per dollar. On 8th of march, the ruble fell to 144 rubles per US dollar, in contrast.

Joe Biden said Ruble will reach 200 few days back.

Nooooo! My dreams of cheap defence imports. :(

Looks like pegging the ruble to gold has done wonders.

The US wants to replace Russia in the European gas market

The US has just announced that it will deliver an additional 15 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Europe.

The United States was quick to push its pawns into the European natural gas supply arena when the first sanctions were imposed on Russia in the context of the war in Ukraine. The EU had made it clear that it wanted to free itself from its dependence on Russia for gas.

So, taking advantage of this major commercial opportunity, the US immediately announced that it was ready to deliver more LNG to Europe. A few days later, this seems to have been agreed as the European Union will receive 15 billion cubic metres of natural gas by the end of 2022. Europe is already receiving American LNG, mainly shale gas, with a catastrophic environmental record. But Brussels
[read: the EU] is prepared to turn a blind eye.

On paper, the announced quantity seems to be sufficient, but according to most specialists in the sector, American gas alone will never be able to replace Russian gas deliveries. For Philippe Chalmin - a professor of economic history - the problem is different: "The problem is not the supply of liquefied natural gas. The problem is that, over the next two or three years, Europe will have the capacity to receive LNG carriers, the ships that transport LNG, and then to re-gasify it. If we put all the regasification capacities that exist today in Europe together, we would only be able to replace about two thirds of our imports from Russia.

Les Etats-Unis veulent remplacer la Russie sur le marché européen du gaz

Looks like Europe is preparing to make America rich.

Give it a rest, we've seen all sh1t before with MH-17, showing pictures of missiles that are nothing to even do with matter etc. You posted yourself that the Russian Ministry took credit for it, so all this dog poo about 'different parts' will not fly. If you want to deny something don't take credit for it.

For an army that's been waging war with a considerable amount of restraint, it's out of character for them to attack civilians with a weapon they do not use.

That Russia running out of Iskander missiles was a good joke. Right up there with Russia running out of ammo exactly a month ago. You could've just typed Russia deploying Tochka missile systems in Ukraine.

BTW - hope your pre transitional op was successful sweetie. You may want to rest & not log on in here lest you read the contents here, get agitated, your ADHD goes into overdrive, the pacifier doesn't pacify you & you burst an aneurysm in your you know where thereby jeopardizing your transition.

See above, they do use it, and see what the did in Bucha.

Why would Ukraine do it as a provocation? World opinion has already turned against Russia.

No, because you need agreement to dismantle it and Russia would veto that, China too probably.

Lithuania has already given up Russian gas.

Frankly there are times I wonder who this propaganda is addressed at. Western organizations have been de platformed in Russia & vice versa. Barring Europe & the US, nobody gives a damn about what's happening in Ukraine.

Hence it's safe to assume that the primary consumers of Western propaganda on Russia are their own people, not Russians & vice versa. Of course the hope here is to push out ones message to non Western people as much as possible but while Russian propaganda isn't widely disseminated, western propaganda in non Western countries is taken with a bucketful of salt.

Don't let that discourage you Paddy. You're here to prove the veracity of the adage - Irishification of the Western media & it's audiences.

He and Putin are both.
Dictators or fags?
