Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Exactly my point. Ukraine is doing all this without those weapons. They are being train on them in Poland and Germany and will deploy German self propelled art, HiMARS/MLRS, switchblades and other heavy offensive weapons by early/mid summer.

Where are they going to get the manpower to do all that? They dare not mobilize the nation because they know they don't have the infrastructure for such a call to arms. Odessa isn't even a thought for Russia they are probably hoping they can keep the land they had pre war. Russia will likely hope the west will be satisfied with prewar line ceasefire but that is not going to be the case. Ukraine is all in getting all their land back and so is the US.
Odessa is their final objective. Kharkiv doesn't matter, Odessa does. Russians are not going without taking Odessa.

They're going regardless of what they take, Ukraine will carry on fighting them as long as they remain in their country.

Russia only have 2 options to win this war and both are bad

1) Full mobilisation and total war
2) Use tactical nuclear weapons or chemical weapons against western Ukraine and crush Ukranian morale using WMD.

There are no third option to victory. Longer the war drags on, weaker the Russian position becomes.

Well the guy survived the last tv debate when being honest hopefully he survives this one too.

The lady is a complete dingbat like all Russian fanboys.

Both are right though. He wants a reconciliation with the West, but she says the West isn't interested.

The weapons aren't the problem, the ISR is. And Russia is unable to attack the ISR assets since they belong to NATO. In a normal war, those ISR assets would be threatened, even the ones in space. So Ukraine can attack Russian ISR, but the Russians cannot attack NATO ISR.

Well I'm afraid it contradicts the response many posters in this thread have made. The problem was supposed to be NATO near their border. I pointed out that the Baltics were already in NATO and that it wasn't about NATO. It's just imperialism from Russia, nothing to do with Nazis.

As usual, you didn't get the point he made. He is talking about NATO's weapons creep, not about countries joining NATO. He's basically saying Finland and Sweden can join NATO, but shouldn't host additional NATO forces. Ukraine would have seen heavy NATO presence had they joined.

Also, from Russia's PoV, the Nordic borders are defensible, Ukraine's border is not. Grassland.

West will not allow Russia a 'diktat peace' in Ukraine, says Germany's Scholz

BERLIN (Reuters) - Russia will not get away with trying to redraw Ukraine's borders by creating facts on the ground and waiting out Kyiv and its allies, Olaf Scholz said, insisting that the West would not stand for a "diktat," or dictated, peace forced on the country.

Ukraine's President Voldomyr said last week that Kyiv would not trade territory for peace with Russia, telling Italy's RAI television that he had been asked by French President Emmanuel Macron to consider doing so.

The French government has denied that any such suggestion had been made. On Monday, Scholz said that such stealth border changes would not be accepted by the West if Ukraine objected to them.

And like I said the Baltics haven't been hosting such weapons, so why would NATO start with Ukraine?

NATO has never invaded another European country since its creation. I can't for the life of me think why it would start with an extremely large one with 2,000 nuclear warheads, or how it would get the idea past 30+ individual democratic parliaments either.

It's Russian imperialism, plain and simple, there are no valid excuses.

Russia is putting all its manufacturing resources into building T-90Ms. Is this:

a) Because they've hardly lost any tanks in Ukraine;

b) Because they still have plenty of operational tanks despite losses in Ukraine;

c) Because T-14s are a brilliant finished article; or

d) None of the above?

Mastering new weapons. The Ukrainian military is already undergoing training on the Slovak self-propelled artillery Zuzana 2. This was confirmed by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia Jaroslav Nagy.

It's only going to get worse for Russia.

Just imagine the hell they will rain on Russian forces when German self propelled guns and HiMARS/MLRS start being deployed by Ukraine.

"Actively guided projectiles." That sounds like increment 3?
