Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Interesting blog post about the shared genetic, linguistic, cultural , religious & historical unity between the Ukrainians &:Russians that may support the Russian claim on Ukraine & yet does not.

Very interesting Article

Just because US is unable to contain China , it is taking out its frustration on Russia

Zelensky is a western puppet, he has no concerns about his country men bombed out but constantly harps on russia being punished. Any one concerned about their fellow citizens lives will atleast try to bargain out stretch it further or do some shit and keep them out of harms way but this guy is like hail mary all the time.
So you will defend Nehru for losing Aksaichin to Chinese?
Ukrainian president have to be neutral,it's a mistake from his side for sure. But as leader he is doing what is supposed to do against a military aggressor.

China Daily is an English-language daily newspaper owned by the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party.
Your basically asking Pestilence for an opinion on its comrade War. What next, an opinion from Famine, i.e. North Korea.

The secret world of offshore banking is proving it can stand up to kleptocrats

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has produced an unexpected side effect: The complicated offshore financial system is rapidly proving it can dismantle itself.

The war has galvanized an extraordinary coalition among tax havens that usually compete fiercely with one another to attract Russian wealth. Led by the European Union, the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Monaco - all of which have long been favored asset hiding places for Russia's richest individuals - are suddenly cooperating to impose sanctions and expel Russian President Vladimir Putin's cronies from the zone of legal and financial impunity known as "fiscal paradise."

The US has no conventional capability??? :ROFLMAO:

@WHOHE, @sunstersun

Putin's conventional capability isn't looking so great right now. Just imagine if those long convoys got subjected to a CBU-105 attack. It was Putin who threatened to resort to nukes if NATO got involved, why would he do that if his conventional capability is superior?

How stupid are you? I am obviously referring to Russia.

It doesn't matter if it's not looking great right now, the stuff they are using are Cold War designs. They are only beginning their modernisation now.

Check again on that.

Wait long enough and everything comes true. :ROFLMAO:

Nah, what they are referring to is chip makers like TSMC cannot manufacture Russia-designed chips and chip owners like Intel cannot make bulk sales to certain crucial industries in Russia, which typically come with discounts. Normal civilians can go out to the store and buy an i7 or Ryzen, no problem. So the regular joe is not affected by this. Of course, the weak currency means he has to pay a whole lot more.

Most of the industries globally use 28nm and above, like in cars, ovens etc, so it doesn't matter to them 'cause all of it can be supplied by China.

The US are net exporters of energy, they have their own oil , they just don't normally use it.

You think China wants to bail Russia out forever.

Forever? Unlikely. But at least another 15 years? Very likely. 'Cause they can negotiate for cheaper O&G imports. Plus the Chinese get a large captive market.

Paying less for their oil isn't exactly bailing them out.

“We’re going to impair their ability to compete in the 21st-century economy,” Biden said on Thursday, announcing sanctions that will cut Russia off from the computer chips that power cars, smartphones, and even missiles.

They've been beginning it for a long time now.

Their assets will be effectively frozen even there because they can't move them anywhere.

New York City, US – US President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced a ban on Russian oil and gas imports to the United States in retaliation for Russia’s military offensive in Ukraine, injecting more uncertainty into how the conflict and energy crisis will be resolved.

The US’s European partners followed with pressure of their own. The United Kingdom said it would phase out imports of Russian oil and oil products by 2022, while the European Union said it would slash Russian gas imports to Europe by 66 percent by the end of the year.

Continuing regular trade is what matters. China can also attempt regularising yuan for global trade between Russia and their vassal states around the world.

Lol. Some valid but some nonsense assertions there.

Some technologies for military applications are produced by Russia themselves, we do the same in India. These chips are expensive and produced in very small quantites, but it's done nevertheless. In India, we use GaAs and GaN based chips too. Presumably Russia does the same.

Some consumer and industry technologies are not a problem because of China.

And the quantities the military require are so small that they will simply buy from the consumer market anyway.

The main target is Russia's electronics industry. They will definitely get affected to the point where it can halt future potential. So it will be interesting to see how they deal with this. Russia may also make attempts at producing chips for 28nm and above, like India.

They've been beginning it for a long time now.

No, they have barely begun. Armata, Su-57... The first units are yet to be raised.

Why? 'Cause he's making sense? Probably born during Mao's era and knows a bit about the history of the SU.
Yes, people of Mao will educate us won't they rr?

Have you not heard about the global chip shortage?

Neither of the things you mention have actually caught up to about 20 years ago in real terms.
