Ukraine - Russia Conflict

The EU is screwed. Long term.

The US wins everything for a small cost. They don't care even if half of the Ukrainian population is killed, they absolutely don't care. The objective was to preoccupy Russia in a long insurgency. Although that backfired, Russian incompetence is at least ensuring they are bleeding in the process.

As for Ukraine, their birth rate had already plummeted from 520k in 2012 to 293k in 2021. With many people having left the country, most likely permanently, pop growth will be less than 200k births, possibly even 100k births after this war is over. And by the time Russia is done, they would have wiped out at least 5 years' worth of pop growth. Will be even worse if after Donbas they train their guns towards Kharkiv, Poltava and Odessa. If the Russians take even half the country, Ukraine's done. It will take them 50-100 years to fix everything, and that's extremely unlikely given the low pop growth.

The EU is definitely screwed, they lost their best source of energy almost permanently and the US has raised import barriers and cut the EU out of the best market. And we are yet to see the security implications of becoming enemies with Russia again.
Irony is that they know what is happening but dont realize it. when they do it will be too late.

And What Does UK & US gain?
UK lost all those rich ppl from russia who bought their properties and their real estate is going to down the barrel. companies are also following suit.
Of course western agents who have drunk democracy cool aid will have problems digesting facts. They will keep blabbering innovation, technology ...etc but all these things are gained only bcos of cheap money inflow once that trickles down then it is a up hill battle.

Disagree, the markets say otherwise. Energy resources are available from elsewhere and the trend is towards reducing reliance on fossil fuels anyway. I would say that Russia is economically screwed having lost its best market in the twilight decades for those resources, except that it was never really not economically screwed in the first place. It somehow manages the Venezuela trick of having lots of resources but still a poor economy.

The European market is still using Russian energy supplies. It will take a year or two before the actual impact is felt.

Russia is not screwed, China and India are capable of consuming pretty much all of Russia's production. They need to do something about gas though, let's see what happens there. The Russians themselves consume 75% of the gas they produce.

Millions have left Russia and the death rate is currently nearly twice the birth rate.:ROFLMAO: And their underlying financial figures are censored they're so bad.

Millions leaving and millions dead are not the same thing.

Well last time the result was that they underwent economic collapse while the rest of Europe thrived.:ROFLMAO:

A lot of those things are just negative consequences that Putin made happen. If you try robbing a bank and get thrown in jail it isn't the US and UK's fault.

What if the bank is run by the Sheriff of Nottingham and Putin is Robin Hood?

Lay off the LSD. The version of 'reality' you think you're living in doesn't exist. Ukraine was attacked by Russia in 2014 and in 2022. How the fcuk can you push a country into being invaded by another country? :ROFLMAO:
yeah keep peddling trash, all your logic falls flat when US keeps gloating that they are fighting their adversary for 10% of their budget , they openly boast about training & arming ukraine and their nazis for years but all that you see is only russia.

Reducing reliance won't be easy but new ICE cars are being phased out in 2030 and new gas boilers are being phased out in 2030. So there's going to be a monumental reduction in 15 years from now. EVs are already popping up everywhere and I see solar panels going on more roofs, with accompanying batteries. Oil price has been held down at $7X despite the EU massively reducing their consumption of Russian oil. There's also a number of gas pipelines planned in Africa, although Russia will use Wagner PMC to try and install dictatorships and sew chaos there so that no mutual benefit can exist.

Yeah, probably. He kept the population relatively poor, so in Russia, a 'crap' economy is kind of normalised.
yeah keep stealing from nigeria, nigerian elections proved beyond doubt that who was in charge.

They didn't. Not like anyone put a gun to their head and forced them. No invasion of Russia was planned either.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: What about the US taking out Iraq and Libya?
The war in Libya against Gaddafi started before NATO got involved, it did not start because NATO got involved. The US didn't annex either of those countries. A murderous tyrant was removed with the help of the people in both cases, one now elects its own leader and the other is in a civil war due to Wagner PMC, i.e. Russian, interference.

Europe does not need to steal. The economics is simple, piping gas is cheaper than shipping it. It provides a larger profit margin for the seller and a cheaper price for the end user. The wider margins help the development of the seller and the cheaper gas helps the economy of the buyer.

The elected Ukrainian government asked for NATO assistance in training. Why were Russian troops in Ukraine illegally for years?

The Russian army began to use FPV kamikaze drones "Boomerang". The advantages of an FPV drone over conventional drones are the low cost of equipment, high flight speed, it is difficult to intercept the drone with an anti-drone gun, since it has no connection with satellites. It is convenient for the operator to control the drone through VR glasses, with the help of these glasses he becomes one with the drone and sees the flight direction well. The drone is armed with a container with striking elements and equipped with a fuse. Cons FPV drone, short range and flight time.

152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S3 "Acacia" of the Ukrainian army, came under attack from the Russian kamikaze drone "Lancet". After the drone hit, the ammunition of the self-propelled unit detonated. Judging by the video, part of the crew escaped because they noticed the approach of the Lancet drone in time.

Footage of an unsuccessful launch of missiles from the Grad MLRS was published by Ukrainian servicemen. The reasons for the unsuccessful launch are not reported, versions are expressed from problems with missiles to the defeat of the installation by Russian troops. In total, the Ukrainian army is now armed with about 185 BM-21 Grad MLRS.

Footage of powerful strikes by Russian heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A Solntsepek in Ukraine has been published. Before the start of the infantry offensive, on the positions of the Ukrainian army in the city, the combat vehicle TOS-1A "Solntsepek" begins to work. After being hit by a thermobaric munition, at the epicenter of the explosion, the temperature rises to three thousand degrees. Now the Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A has begun to be modernized

Haven't noticed.
