Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Two anonymous officials?

This is the only "official" word I could find on the topic:
“First of all, I can’t confirm these reports,” said Kirby.

“It would depend on the scope of the damage if it could be repaired by Ukrainians on site. Obviously, if there was damage done to a Patriot system that needed to be repaired outside Ukraine, we would certainly assist with that.”

Alternatively, others are telling us to wait for more news.
"As always, we need to rely on those institutions that hold journalistic standards high, who source information from multiple places, who don't run a first draft if they don't have confirmation, and who work hard against letting themselves become a tool in the hand of the propaganda machines," warned Amy Bonebright, assistant professor of journalism in the School of Communication & Digital Content at Liberty University.

"In 2023, we are fortunate to have multiple legacy media that do reliable, accurate reporting to help us decipher if the information is true or not. And usually, the truth is found somewhere in the middle of the two greatest extremes," said Bonebright.

When two parties are making ridiculous claims, both tend to be wrong. Neither is Kinzhal unstoppable nor is the Patriot infalliable.

No name, no designation, then fake news.
My link is dated the 17th, Kirby's statements the 16th. Mine follows an on-site inspection of the actual equipment.

Interview with an Australian foreign fighter in Bakhmut who calls himself Soldier X. It's from 3 months ago, and he explains how and why they are losing ground there, and other areas. This is from 3 months ago...

Basically the actual ground situation.

"Fun fact", all the Ukrainian soldiers who made videos complaining about lack of equipment at the frontline have been executed by the UAF. The ones who withdrew without orders have also been executed. And the ones who are fighting are pretty much stuck between dying and dying.

So there it is.

Note: The interviewer is also a foreign fighter veteran from Ukraine.

This is real news, people. Not the "grass for sheep" feed you get in the West.

PS: The interviewee also says the Russians are not taking significant losses, but the Ukrainians are taking heavy losses.
Fun fact, the only changes in territory around Bakhmut over the last 2-3 weeks are in Ukraine's favour.

Does that include the ones sent to jail for 25 years for criticising the war? Or the ones that have left already?
There are always exceptions. But Russians in general are very patriotic and will fight for their country till the end. Unfortunately for you, they will end you much before going down themselves;)

Ah yes, how do we know Patriots have been working? "Treason"
Same story from Russian source before someone claims Western propaganda.

It was the same story after the Moskva, deny, deny, arrest admiral.

The train with grain derailed due to the undermining of the railway track in the Crimea.

The explosion occurred in the morning near the village of Chistenkoye in the Simferopol region of the republic. Previously, 8 wagons got off, 5 of them overturned.

Now the movement is suspended, the paths are checked by sappers. Repair crews begin to restore the road. 2 passenger trains were detained, electric trains were temporarily canceled. There were no casualties.

The regime starting to hunt down its own scientists, it reminds me vaguely of the end of the Reich somewhere between 1944 and 1945...

29 CRUISE MISSILES DESTROYED
From 21:00 on May 17 to 05:30 on May 18, 2023, the Russian occupiers launched several waves of missile attacks from different directions. A total of 30 sea-, air-, and land-based cruise missiles were launched.
22 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were fired from strategic aircraft: two Tu-160s and eight Tu-95s.
From the ships in the Black Sea - 6 Kalibr cruise missiles.
And also two "Iskander-K" cruise missiles from ground-based operational-tactical missile complexes.
The forces and means of air defense of the Air Force, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 29 cruise missiles.
Also, 2 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs and two reconnaissance UAVs (OTR) were shot down.

Naaah. Distance from Kyiv to the Bryansk border is 300+km. PAC-2 GEM range is 160km. Something else happened that Russia wants to keep a tight lip of it. There's a close up of the Mi-8 being hit and the missile looks small-ish and so does its detonation. A PAC-2 missile would have pulverized the Mi-8.

If Ukraine used a western a2a missile the Russians would have exposed it by now. This has sabotage or a Russian operator of a SAM system turning on Russia smell... and that you keep quiet. Which is why at first it was thought friendly fire took place.

But the Patriot units can be towed around.
