Ukraine - Russia Conflict

When Ukraine gets their Vipers a2a engagements will be more rare than tank on tank battles but when it does happen it will likely take place over the black sea where Ukraine will have US/NATO ISR and AWACS coverage giving them better SA and ability to fire their aim120c7 at maximum range without using their radars. Looks like Russia's dominance over the black sea, at least a big chunk of it, is coming to an end.

These F-16's will be Harpoon capable too when Belgium uploads the software. :giggle:

A similar Indian system is $700k.
What Mach 10-13 guided ALBM do India have?
Lol. What's all that got to do with the point I'm making?

Russia has been dealing with terrorism for decades now.
You have the delusion that arms supplied to Islamic terrorists will only be targeted at the West, Russia has its only internal problems with Chechens and Dagestanis and ethnic Tajik, plus what Wagner is stirring up abroad.
Good. Now there will be people who will use it.

Depends on how much you can afford and what you are willing to sacrifice for it. Will you allow the British defence budget to eat into the NHS's budget?
Russia has exceeded their 2023 target deficit in Q1 alone. No attacks on Kyiv since the last one failed and cost them >$100m either.
And when that offensive occurs, one of the interesting features is where does it occur…. Wherever they look now, they are looking at quite well-defended Russian positions, and in some places they would be fighting for territory that belongs to Ukraine but where the people who are there now are either ambivalent or want to be Russian.

Ukraine basically wants to launch an offensive into a territory to "liberate" people who don't want any Ukrainians around.

And guess what? To impose their ideology, culture and language on people who the Ukrainians already consider as foreigners. :ROFLMAO:

There must be something to this if Europe is all for it today.
Russia backs most of the far right groups across Europe. Most support for Russia in Europe and US comes from far right groups. Kind of ironic given that they're allegedly fighting 'Nazis'.
west - sour grapes ( aka ..we lost ) , we are crying hoarse now.
They've lost 110,000 people to capture a pile of rubble where only 70,000 people used to live.

Yes, Russia despite not hitting Ukraine with their full might has taken half of their land and yet some of these Europeans don't see this as Russia's success, lol.

Damn, looks like US/UK/NATO is indeed going to fight Russia until the last Ukrainian. After this war, I doubt if Ukraine even exists. Just pathetic approach by NATO.
Russia has lost 60x as many people capturing 15-20% of Ukraine as allied forces lost removing Saddam and giving a vote to the Iraqi people.

If Russia wins Ukraine doesn't exist.
It's a good distraction for people on both sides, takes away the focus from the ground war.

The Patriots reacted to a Russian attack with 30 or so missiles. But what if Russia had also attacked with 30 missiles? It's just a battle of egos.
A 318kg missile shot down a 4.3t missile.

F-16s can also carry JASSM and LRASM I think.

These are Euro Vipers and are not JASSM or LRASM capable... or missile available for them. But hey if SU-24's and SU-27's can launch storm shadows how easily will it be for Euro Vipers to properly fire storm shadows?

Any Russian progress in this sector will be seen towards Chasiv Yar, which is a strategic town and important for both sides to hold.

Bakhmut was strategically important when Severodonetsk and Lysychansk were under Ukrainian control. But with the two cities lost to Russia, and after Ukraine's fall offensive which allowed them to take back Lyman, Bakhmut lost its importance.

But during the spring offensive, Ukraine may try to take back the city by encircling it, including Soledar, from the north (Siversk side) and from the southeast of Chasiv Yar in a pincer attack.

So there will either be an offensive from the Ukrainian side or the Russians will simply consolidate their gains in Bakhmut while the Ukrainians concentrate on an offensive elsewhere, like Zaporizhzhia; Tokmak and Melitopol. There's even talk of an amphibious assault with some brand new NATO-delivered river-crossing capabilities along the entire river. Two divisions or two corps are being raised with Western supplied heavy weapons in Dnipro and Poltava for this purpose, not counting a lot of Western-equipped troops already on the Bakhmut front.

The upcoming Ukrainian offensive is said to be a big one. So we could even see a simultaneous assault on both Tokmak/Melitopol as well as Bakhmut.

Otoh, Russia's winter offensive was quite muted in order to prepare for Ukraine's offensive. They took some farmland in Zapo, of course there's Soledar and Bakhmut, and then suffered a significant defeat in Vuhledar. So all of their mobilised troops are waiting with their full strength.

Sole problem : the stock pile of Storm shadows is smaller than US cruise missiles one.

Russia Mi-8 just crashed in panic.

The Legion and the RDK completely liberated the settlement of Kozinka, Belgorod Region. Advance detachments entered Grayvoron.

Looks like Ukraine has had enough of Russia's shit and is just going straight for Moscow.

An evacuation will be announced in Graivoron and nearby villages, a Readovka source
reports . Now buses have been sent to the villages, which will take the residents to safe areas.

The deputy head of the administration of the city of Grayvoron was wounded during the shelling of the administration building, two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were also injured — Baza
