India has a better track record of disclosures than Pakistan.. But, it is not comparable to countries in the west... The Henderson Brooks-bhagat report on 1962 war is still classified.. In the name of national interests... India tries and hides a lot too.. On the casualties part, yes, India does not hide it's own casualties.. But, Balakot strike was about casualties on the Pakistani side, and India officially claimed to have killed "a very large number of terrorists" without providing any proof.. (Between Modi had everything to gain in 2019 elections.. so he had a personal stake in the strikes ).. Its simple , If GOI doesn't want to provide proof officially (not via unaccountable leaks to preferred journalists), then, India shouldn't say "very large number of terrorists" were killed in Balakot..
US released Baghdadi strike video, Turkey, Israel regularly release videos, as soon as strikes are carried out.. But, as far as IAF is concerned, it's not necessary, I guess because, Indian public is not as demanding and is satisfied by IAF's / GOI's word..
