Protestors face off against riot police lines in Tottenham, north London, Rioting spread to the neighbouring area of Enfireld Over one hundred arrests were made by the following evening. Three people were injured as well as 26 police officers.
A Carpetright store burns on Tottenham after being set on fire by youths. Several other buildings were targeted by rioters with reports of looting in the area also taking place. A London double-decker bus was also set on fire.
Rioting continued through-out Saturday night. Reportes suggested local gangs were partly responsible for crimial acts caused against both property and police officers.
