Some Skirmishes are going on for the last one week

This is the reason why Pakistan has sent
So many UAVs, 7 till now

Secondly there was firing between BSF and Rangers, this is known

Some source claim something Big happened
On 5 th March , which will be revealed later

IAF has a air station at Suratgarh , close to Pak border

Suratgarh is in this Sri Ganganagar sector

There is no skirmish on ... as far as I know.

The small arms fire is LMG and MMG being used to engage the small drones.

No clue what firing you allude to.

Clean, the range of the Mig-29K is 2000Km with 100% internal fuel. 3 DTs add 1000Km. Bombs reduce range considerably.

So the figure of 3000Km with 2 bombs and 4 missiles is already unrealistic. It is in fact less than that.
Its more. Mig-29K have higher fuel capability thyan even Mig-29UPG. Don't go by what Wiki says about it. Mig-29K has more fuel capacity than Rafale and also more fuel efficient engines than Rafale. Aerodynamically also it is superior.

Everytime a P3 C or a Mirage 5 is near Karachi , we should launch 4 MiG 29 K from
Jamnagar and lock them over the High Seas

Then see their Reaction.

The Best Revenge for 27 Feb would be
To knock out Orions

Honestly, did you really think through this post before actually posting? If you did, then after so many years on defence forum, I am sure you can appreciate that the moment you do a weapons lock, you are giving away your exact 'signature' which they can then read to jam in a future potential conflict?

One can do a scenario as to why Pakistanis are antsy of the region precisely on studying the area, the location and the tactical importance of the area.

Isn't it because the region is pretty dry and desert like so there are no water bodies stopping armoured advance? There's also the armoured division at Hisar which can make use of any success by the X Corps. The armoured division in Jhansi can also come chugging along to push through the successes of the X and XII Corps.

Of course, none of these overlook Ganganagar, so I'm obviously missing something here.

so I'm obviously missing something here.

If you notice the area right from south Ferozepur district to Rann of Kutch, you shall be able to appreciate a highly tankable countryside. Yes the area has an excellent network of roads and rail as also well connected by airfields for forces's use, and is also largely aerable land now. But most important is that the area is tankable. And that allows maneuver to be undertaken. The same flexibility is not there north of the area.

So, one can switch forces continuously at short notices, sending whole brigades 100s of kilometers just because you feel like. Imagine the headache for the other side, when you see superior numbers congregate at one point, disperse and then reform at another.

Also correlate with the fact that this month on till May, number of units moving from peace time to exercise location will increase, as part of the planned and budgeted move.

So when F 16s locked on to Su 30
On 27 Feb , we got all information about
Their Avionics

So Now there are no " Known Unknowns "
Regarding F 16 Radars

Lots of people here talking about dismemberment of PA,taking multan and so on.I can assure you no one has the political will for a large scale ground war.Its not going to happen. We need to reconfigure our army.Reduce numbers, increase technology investment, move it away from a large conventional army to an army more similar to what the russians are now fielding(at least in the western front, china front can stay conventional ). Move to brigade structure each with integral electronic warfare assets, drones at platoon level, drones assigned to artillery batteries, particularly MBRLs.Reduce the total number of armour ,but improve the quality of actual armour formations.Strike corps are right now dead weight, they have no value as there won't be a large war.Dismantle one strike corps and transfer assets to the truncated mountain strike corps on china border. The other one can stay as a reserve.

In the west we need to become a siege type army, which means huge emphasis on intelligence gathering/targeting solutions and massive firepower options for cross border exchanges. This is where we need to bleed pakistan hard.ISTAR aircraft coming from USA is a great development.Need drones at frontline infantry platoon and artillery unit level.Need large numbers of integral snipers at LOC.And bulletproof jackets that can stop ak-47 bullets finally arriving from july this year to reduce casualities in COIN warfare.

Need to increase airforce investment substantially, even cutting back on army a bit.Just heard we can't forward deploy su-30mkis because of lack of sufficient sized blast pens in JK. Will need 3 years.Eastern theatre tender for 2000 pd bomb resistant new gen shelters is a great development which was need to counter the expected barrage of chinese cruise and SRBMs in a conflict on airbases.

By end of 2022 we will have gained decisive superiority over the pakistanis.
We will have - new rifles and bulletproof gear.
New thermal vision gear for infantry.
Hundreds of new 155mm heavy artillery guns.
Lots of latest sniper rifles, and by that time experienced snipers as well.
ISTAR aircraft(hopefully)
Rafales with meteor.
LCA replacing mig-21s in point defence roles in a few frontline squadrons.
ASRAAM widespread across the fleet. With its huge range and superb performance ASRAAM is almost a bvr, probably the 2nd best close in killer missile in the world atm .
Several more latest ships with barak-8 cover .
Another aircraft carrier with latest sensors.
Several scorpenes deployed.
Hopefully more operational ASW helicopters.
Brahmos -2 and Nirbhay.
MRSAM regiments deployed in full in army and airforce having replaced pechoras.
S-400 big boy deployed.Probably the biggest game changer.

So sit tight and keep bleeding the PA with no let up.Time is our ally. They are screwed economically and can't keep up.Cant reform due to jihadi compulsions, army expenditure and ownership of 1/3rd the economy.

Imagine if Marathas and Jaats in 1660 had thought on similar lines? None of them had even a gun with them or fine horses or better swords and body armour. So much so that neither of them had a cannon with them till 1750. But whom did they defeat-The mighty Mongols.
Battle tactics are based on what you have and not what you will have or ought to have? Those who use what they have effectively with sound tactics, emerge winners.

pLus, talk about rewarding incompetence, instead of sacking the corrupt crop of ISI chiefs they are actually giving him some sort of a medal
Should give the credit where it is due..... ISPR and propaganda gang successfully won the perception war .... There is no doubt in ant Pakistani minds that only trees were damaged in balakot.....There is no doubt in their mind that they have shot down more than 1 aircraft and bombed Indian military installation and India could do a bull......

Where as when it comes to India the IAF and GoI is struggling to prove some morons that we actually hit balakot......Yesterday saw someone asking proof of death of terrorists... that too Aadhar card🤦‍♂️..... Not an ordinary man by the way.....

But let us be clear.... this is not over yet... the end could be close to August....

I'm not saying at all that we shouldnt respond with what we have.I'm saying things will only get better for us and PA is living on borrowed time with its jihadi sponsor strategy.
The other thing i'm saying is there is no political will or scope for large scale ground warfare. Our army's composition should reflect this fact. Some people talking about dismemeberment of PA by huge ground offensive are living in la la land.We beat pakistan in 3 ways -

Bleed them at the loc constantly, with the battle of attrition slowly tilting ever more in our favour due to better tech and resources.Keep airforce on hand and strangle their economy.
Sharp brutal cross border attacks like balakot aimed at maximum military damage in case of a terror attack. Then up to pakistan to escalate or not.Be ready .
Support groups inside pakistan.Keep investors away.
Once we have enough economic clout in a decade or so,economic sanctions.

If we want to play that game, India needs to launch a massive economic war on Pakistan. Some of the ideas can be :

1. Massive counterfait Pakistani currency operations.
2. Attack on Pakistani payment and settlement systems to steal funds from them.
3. Disruption of Pakistan's Karakoram highway.
4. One major Pakistani export is Rice. Disrupt Pakistan's rice crops by denying them precious water during the critical period of peddy planting. Invest in research for developing poison resistant insects that can destroy their peddy crops.
5. Another import export is cotton, again the same pattern.
6. Another one is textile, disrupt their power network and attack new power plants. Further invest heavily and susidize production of garments in India itself. Instead of making stupid and worthless unmetalled roads in India with stupid schemes like MNREGA, employ these BA pass useless people into textile production. Produce in mass and undercut all the Pakistani textile exports.
7. Another important source of forex is Pakistan's international dispora. We should work with Saudis etc to stop their work visa. If not, find ways to target them. Use foreign laws against their dispora. Get them arrested and get them deported. Find businesses of their dispora outside Pakistan and target and disrupt them.
