The airspace was monitored by Indian AWACS. Not to mention Su30's radars. Its not called "mini AWACS" for kicks. If that was the case, we would be having a real proof.
Pathetic response by some members and news organizations to a vague report with no sources in a foreign outlet which has every reason to sing a different tune - be it f-16 arms lobby,pak pay or simply that the f-16 was a ex-jordanian one.If your faith in forces is so weak don't bother with defence matters at all.We saw the blown up r-73,we saw ISPR make a fool of himself with 2 pilots,2 shot down joke(the same one that first lied about f-16 use and then admitted) and then backtracking,haider shahbaz is probably still exercising in usa,and we got IAF's statement.You going to believe all the former or a vague statement in a foreign mag with unknown 'source'.
Also there were reports of IAF picking up PAF chatter on the downed F16. This Lockheed dalal article seems to be bait to get IAF to reveal its intel.
Why do we always limit ourselves to POK, Isn't Gilgit Baltistan part of India J&K too?
Having said that - looking at the melting freezing tops of Saltoro Kangri a la Kargil, would make life living hell for napak forces, but then isn't a
coldwave already streaming through it for some time. Winter is here & someone will burn in hell!!

So now options for PA - either abandon the posts completely or keep trying to re -man them(where IA has not directly occupied destroyed/damaged posts) ,and in the process of remanning them get slaughtered again by arty fire.Its just been 1 month and they are crying for de escalation,if modi remains and this attrition continues for whole next 5 years can you imagine what will happen to PA?They are losing probably a dozen soldiers killed or wounded on average everyday atm.And more guns,more new toys are coming in huge numbers from our side only.No way out for PA.

They run out of ammo long before 5 years, and have nothing but sticks & stone left by then if attrition continues
Sir two planes went down in POK that day in close proximity, as evident by videos and later interviews of local people finding another pilot. One was Mig 21 and another was 2 seater of PAF, the only logical conclusion is f16.
Not just videos of ejection and local people interviews but even some wreckage of another plane which was not of Mig 21 (though it was passed as Mig21) was found so there is no doubt that they lost one. Could it be some other 2 seater? Unlikely as a drop tank of f16 was seen with wreckage and you won't send any trainer aircraft for aerial engagement unless they did. Is there any other jet in Pakistani inventory that is two seater and not a trainer?
I can be wrong about sequence of events sir and I hope your version comes out true.
It depends on the type of jamming employed. In case of spot jamming, only one frequency is jammed but in case of barrage jamming, we can jam a wide range of frequencies and will effect all emitters in the area.
The JF-17 twin seater is still undergoing testing and is yet to be inducted.
PA probably never imagined in their dream that such a response could ever probably come from Modi's India. They still are not willing to give up their old ways. This is indeed going to turn very dangerous on them where India will force them to admit their losses of army men, territory and terrorists - and this will turn the public against all the three. In the mean time those areas with bitter hatred will rise up in arms and declare independence from the clutches of these butchers - Balochistan, Sindhu Desh and Pakhtunkhwa. POK will be recovered by India and in due course there is strong possibility that Sindhu Desh and Balochistan may merge with India as China will be after them to recover its loans and hence they will find it easier to take shelter under their parent than get crushed by the Chinese, similar to the fate of the Uighurs.
Jamming is for active radar missiles. Basically to break the missile lock. Radars will still be able to track the enemy planes.
What about IAF claiming they picked up radar signature for those 4 F16 as per there database. Isnt electronic signature
sufficient proof to dismiss any other type of 2 seater?
We should wait for the memoirs of a retired gentlemen to bare it all in due time. Rest vested interest in play presently.

Was it said officially or via media? I would not rely much on electronic signatures due to spoofing, counters, jamming and everything else was going on that time.
Anyway let's wait for offical words from US, even Reuters was publishing bull crap copied from "Kashmir Dispatch" kind of paper and every other media house was twisting and adding words accordingly. Somebody mentioned this information can be obtained via Freedom of Information Act, @Shajida Khan or anyone else should request it formally too. They lost a twin seater that is beyond doubt and by all logic and circumstantial evidences it was f16.
Weather US counted only those sold by them or it included the third party sales by Jordan is irrelevant. Either way they are never going to accept that an F-16 was lost to a soviet era aircraft. IAF has already made an official claim. Those wanting IAF to "come clean" can go jump of a cliff.
For me US has vested interest in hiding/sweeping under carpet the truth.
A) Bad name
B) Bad sales
C) Russia factor
D) India 100+ planes future contract in compromised situation
E) Trump still hopeful to shift, F-16 to India & capture Indian market, and slowly build unavoidable dependency, often at expense of domestic programs.
We should wait for memoirs to bare it all in due time only, as that will only tell the real story.
At same time if US continues on path of sweep under table due to vested interest, be made clear, that F16 or rebranded F21 will suffer permanently in its consequence.
