Indian leaders have now essentially given the military a green light to respond to the latest round of military conflict by Pakistan.

While we don't know the exact circumstances in which the IAF pilot was shot down, lets not, for a moment, forget that he shot down an F-16 first (possibly an F-16 Block 50) with an upgraded MiG 21 Bison, a jet which first entered service with the IAF in the sixties.

There is anything that clearly suggest f16 is down? Apart from govt statement that 1 enemy plane is down.
I want IN unleashed on Pakistan. We can completely demolish them economically with just four weeks of blockade. Infact a strike by IN will destroy their fuel tanks and brahmos can take out their power plants. Well, we fought Kashmiri mujahideen in Kargil. Didn't we? till Nawaz said it was regular Pak Army and they lost over 5000.
And who told you that? Do you think we went in and struck them from air without a plan?
I read somewhere from US , India did a best job in only 12 days for a flawless mission.
That too against someone who is waiting for it.
When you want to penetrate a well-defended airspace without risking your own aircraft, it's going to take quite sometime to prepare. This includes making a lot of fake attacks.

Sir can't we flatten few suspected Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed hideouts using Bhramos and Su 30? Pakistan gave us this opportunity to have open session after they attacked Indian military installation. Even if it collateral damage it won't mean a thing. We can bait those idiots and shoot few down after they come for retaliation, meanwhile LOC and Navy is keeping them on toes.
News reporting after today's tri service meeting with PM: India is choosing to escalate and not some useless face saving deal.
