Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion

This particular system I can not understand for what exact use, esp the term ASMD-I.
The SOW was posted recently 2 days ago. Its obviously fin separation & pyro cartridges related.

I could not understand the specific missile though. This technique is used for store separation in airborne missiles, but what such thing does ASL make? not Agni. ASMD can be Anti ship missile defense ie protection against chinese anti ship ballistic missiles, which would need AD1 type system?

BTW, That SSm pic above are the nosetip section & a control surface, fin thing. Not sure what it is though, someone said its same as the hstdv cruise vehicle tip. But the drawing says SSM.

So Astra 2 will still take some time to become fully operational? Hopefully by the end of next year or 2025.

I don't think even user trials started. Why would this be a classified project?. If it is progressing so fast it should be publicised for exports.

Read from others that astra mk1 is pitched for export while mk2 is what IAF would prefer. I thought dev+user trial is happening together. They have 2 su30 dedicated that are modified for astra ngarm etc testing.
