Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion

IIT Madras updated project list shows the ramjet artillery is sanctioned upto 2024, so we might hear of progress after that I guess.

The ‘Next-Generation Close Combat Missile’ (NGCCM) is an enhanced short-range infrared homing missile for 5th generation aircraft currently being developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). MBDA, a European multinational weapons manufacturer, and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), state-owned Indian military corporation, have reached an agreement to create a facility in India for the final assembly, integration, and testing of the Advanced Short Range Air-To-Air Missiles (ASRAAM). The new facility will first emphasise MBDA’s ASRAAM; thus, the company will supply “equipment, knowledge, and training” to start moving in the right direction.

Random blog trying to look legit?

How are DRDO project and MBDA offer related?

Yeah, it looks BS.

In the future, MBDA’s Common Anti-Air Modular Missile (CAMM) assembly, integration, and testing services will be carried out at this location. CAMM may provide anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence, a surface-to-air missile with a short range that can be fired from land-based positions. MBDA is fulfilling the Indian Navy’s request for a short-range surface-to-air missile by supplying the CAMM as part of the Sea Ceptor air defence system. This induction will allow the Indian Navy to defend its aircraft better.

When/what/why the *censored* did this happen?

Pakistan Navy is going for the CAMM platform SAM system for its Modified Ada Class Turkish Corvettes.

Hehe, that was what in that link? I guess it is 2021 news somehow posted today by CAPS.

Most likely one iteration of K4 reentry vehicle , very old pic, circa 2010. Wonder what did they select finally.

EM railgun is possibly very highly prioritised by navy given scope of tech development work suggested

The STFE development , it matches with the estimate shown in a past presentation from academia. So STFE would have 2 mk, one for normal cm, another for extended range. Well with that many cruise missile versions planned as in below tweet, variants are a must & mass produced.

They have already envisioned a variable cycle Engine for 6th gen fighters.

BTW which engine we are taking about in #4? #5 is Manik.
