Indian Political Discussion

We are not China.

We were never China.

I doubt we will ever be China.

The two civilizations and people are extremely divergent.

Cheers, Doc

Even Today if there is a TINANMEN massacre in China
Then you will see huge protests against China all over the world ie in front of Chinese embassies just as we saw protest against US invasion of Iraq

Secondly there will be a movement to boycott Chinese goods

What Mao did ; all that happened when the World had become IMMUNE to death and destruction after the second world war

Times have changed

But this century or the NEXT
will again see such large death " events " simply because EARTH is running out of resources

Guys, one question to all of you

Where lies more hate -
1- Among hindu-muslims?
2- Among castes?
2- Among rich-poor?

The answer will tell you what we need to correct first.

@vsdoc @Shajida Khan @STEPHEN COHEN

The way things have moved since the 90s, Hindu-Muslim is being propped up for political gain.

I believe we are heading towards an inflection point.

A class war.

I've said it many times before on PDF as well. The Muslims will be on the sidelines bemused when the shit hits the fan.

There are elements of 2 but its mainly 3.

There is a LOT of anger among the youth nowadays. And the demographic dividend sends shivers up my spine ....

Cheers, Doc

I don't know. I have seen different people hate different things. May be have and have nots the key and rest is proxy to it? Not very sure.
That said most folks will hate it when they see being denied basic needs of life.

Millions died in the avian bird flu in China.

Did anyone get even a hint of it?

The WHO knows. People in the field know. But ....

CPM Activists Allegedly Set Protesting Farmers' Tents On Fire In Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M) allegedly set tents of protesting farmers on fire for not toeing the party line in Kerala's Kannur district.

Some people including farmers had stopped revenue officers from taking up land survey work in Kannur for a highway expansion project. Forty of the protesters were arrested on Wednesday for obstructing the work of revenue officials.

Above Urban Naxals ruled state, below BJP's : (n)

This happened in AP during YSR rule these communists went and planted red flags wherever they saw land and claimed it as their own, it was brutally repressed ,when the politburo got the rap on knuckles, all this drama ended, if you want the communists to stop these antics go after their leadership all of this will stop, these goons are hardly relevant nowadays

Disagree about Akhilesh.

He is a PM in waiting.

Rahul does not need to be smart. He has a juggernaut behind him. Hurt but recovering. If the BJP can come back from a single term in power, would anyone like to bet against the Congress?

I see no one else.

Cheers, Doc
Its not the smartness which is the defining attribute. It is priorities. Leaders define priorities and their team fills in details. Regional leaders do not have right priority for India in their mind. Or atleast may be they have not spoken about it. Let see what they have to say beyond caste or even religion or even social justice or socialism -- Samajwad.

Shajida,

Modi was a national leader before he became PM?

How many of our past PMs first took office as national leaders?

Cheers, Doc

And someone else have plenty. I can see you rooting for 3rd option.

He knew two priorities quite well, which is why I will vote for him.
1. You need a manufacturing base to employ these millions entering workforce. Thats a right priority. Its execution is shoddy but he is insisting on it with a single minded obsession.
2. You need capital to build a massive industrial base. He spent quite a hell lot of his own time for this.

BTW, he tried this in Gujarat too even before national politics.

These are the strategic decision I expect from a national leader. I don't see this in likes of Rahul or Akhilesh. You expect the leader of tribe to hunt bigger game to feed his/her tribe; not to make small and equal pieces of smaller game.

This is just the start.

Gujarat was not so long ago. And we are already having crying Yogis and doubts about "clear majority" ....

Its is still March 2018.

The fun has yet to begin ...

It is sad really. I wanted Modi to deliver. I voted for him. How could I not have.

But what many of you still do not realize is that you are not in a personality issues clash.

You are in an ideological war for the ownership of India. Think about that and then realize what is at stake.

Cheers, Doc
The only thing you are worried about is your lordship and how to exploit majority, those days are gone,it is time this nation throws out the Secularists who always take advantage of Hindus. That ideological war we are winning election or no election , Hindus have started to put their foot down and claim their rights and its giving jitters to you, so you want to bring in some Secular party to clamp down on our rights? that dream & ship has long sailed, LOL

You sound quite insecure.

Honestly.

You are speaking to a guy who belongs to a community that barely numbers 60,000 Indians.

Regardless of how I ream your types online, do you honestly believe Parsis (any Parsi) is "clamping down" on your rights?

Can you provide some examples or are you just trying to employ bombast for effect?

Also, if you do not like being secular, you should try to move out of India. We are a secular country. It must be causing immense mental agony for you.

Cheers, Doc

Apologies, was it directed to me? I think not...

Not exactly IMHO. I personally believe there is a shade of difference between jealousy and hatred. You can be jealous of a rich person but to actually hate them, they have to have been responsible for taking away something very core to you. Like denying basic needs. Think Pakistani and Nawaz and Americans and Steve Jobs.
