Expressing the resolve of the government to bring to book those who are guilty in the deal, Antony said, "We will not show mercy to anybody who has taken money, however big he is."
Those who acted against the interests of the nation would not be allowed to escape, he said.
Answering questions on the frequent allegations related to defence sector deals, Antony said the defence procurement policy is being revised and a new policy is on the anvil.
The new policy will come into existence in a few months, said Antony. Answering questions on raising FDI limit in defence sector from 26 per cent to 75 per cent, Antony said indigenisation in defence equipment production is being actively pursued. However, he added that the government would not go for privatisation in defence production hastily.
On the issue of alleged atrocities against Tamil Citizens of Sri Lanka, Antony said India has already expressed solidarity with the cause of Sri Lankan Tamils.

Nothing explains the issue better than this statement. They have managed to convince the urban people that it is about IAS and IFS. It's actually about the lowest of jobs and not the highest where the most intense fighting takes place.

You nailed it. The biggest opposition to caste based reservations is from grassroots level. That is where it affects the most. I quoted Khobragade as a case study wherein highly placed and extremely well fed people with 100s of acres of land and multiple flats in places like Mumbai and Bangalore used reservation quota to acquire more wealth. Caste based Reservations have been there for last 70 yrs and so is the demand for economically backward class reservations. Modi promised 15 lak only in 2014. How about previous 65 yrs. And finally what is better, 15 lak in account or a machine which converts potatoes to gold? There is a chinese saying, " You give a man a figh, you feed him once, you teach a man how to figh, you feed his generations." Hope this clarifies you how important the machine which converts potatoes to gold is.
