Sultan Siddaramaiah Sarkar's circular:

1. All "minorities" media houses to get two govt ads per month

2. All "minorities" journos to get Handycam/still cameras worth ₹61000.

Sultan Siddaramaiah

This would be a perfect jibe. They should start putting out posters of Siddaramaiah looking like Tipu Sultan, and they could start calling him "Siddu Sultan." That's the type of stuff that sticks in politics.

Chennai: Sacred threads of 10 people cut off by ‘pro-Periyar’ men

The incident follows a provocational statement by BJP national secretary H Raja on Tuesday wherein he threatened to destroy statues of Periyar in Tamil Nadu, like Lenin's in Tripura.

Sacred threads of 10 people were cut off by a group of eight in Triplicane near Chennai on Wednesday morning, said police. A senior officer said the incident happened at around 7 am within the limits of Ice House police station.

“All the 10 were either bare chested or were returning from a temple nearby. The men had raised slogans praising Periyar. Police teams are searching for the gang now,” the officer said.

The incident follows a provocational statement by BJP national secretary H Raja on Tuesday wherein he threatened to destroy statues of Periyar in Tamil Nadu, like Lenin’s in Tripura.

Following his statement, a Periyar statue was vandalised in Vellore on Tuesday night and petrol bombs were hurled at a BJP office in Coimbatore in the wee hours of

Wednesday.

Two of the ten accused that Chennai Police are on the lookout for.

Meanwhile in TN, Periyar statute abusing gods is installed outside one of the most prominent temple in TN and "liberal" media has nothing to say about it.

Periyar men barge into a temple , uproot statue of Ram and broke it and there is no Media news about it. Everybody is worried about "Lenin" statute in Tripura.

I have a genuine question for all the people from various leanings (left, right, center). please tell me, in all your honesty - who is the alternative PM candidate for India in 2019.
rahul Gandhi?
Kejriwal?
Mamta?
Mulayam Singh?
anyone else?

Had Priyanka Gandhi considered active politics... She has more manhood than Modi-amit-raga combined. Definitely retains some sting, venom of her grandmother...

Nah, she just looks like a man, that's all. Although I guess you might be right in the case of her brother (who she looks exactly like) - but that's a pretty low target to beat.

Hmm .. she's not an active politician but draws crowds wherever she goes. However , her husband's tarnished public image would hurt her if she does enter politics.

Yea, between the two kids - she's comfortably more suited to politics, and I'm sure the resemblance to her grandmother helps in that sense. But as you said, I don't see her being able to enter politics thanks to her husband.

As soon as she gets too vocal or too involved, the BJP can pick up the Vadra case and finish both.

All politicians get their hands dirty with land deals because real estate - politics go hand in hand... If my local municipal corporators and thasildars can have criminal cases involving property, why not the big boys. At the end of the day , the cases are closed and everyone goes scott free.

No need of explaining to this superkaif guy, he just pretends to be neutral while quietly goes around pedelling his agenda, asks everyone to behave intellectually and face abuse from trolls while kaif himself abuses members here.

Just last months Kaif's abusive posts were deleted and a certain admin who was favouring him via misuse of power needed to be reigned in by other good admins, this is why you guys see him no longer abusing on this forum as he longer has the admin backup to unleash his nastiness.

Good morning Ironhide.

You are quite correct in your analysis - i am not neutral and have never pretended to be neutral.
I am intrigued to know what agenda i have - please enlighten me and at least let me know.
My previous interaction that may or may not have broken house rules have been dealt with. I dont attempt to abuse and create animosity - after all this is the forum world and not real life - what would i have to gain? Insinuating i have or had back up from mods that i dont even know suggests you are a conspiracy theory specialist - certainly not the case.

Now please look at the title and lets attempt to talk about the topic.

The sensitivity of members is clear to see. Is the BJP doing a good job or is it floundering in keeping its promises?
Modi came into power of great crescendo and tsunami of promises. It certainly not been easy. A nation of 1.2 billion and the largest democracy is a monumental ship to captain. I have to say looking from 4,000 miles away and looking in - i dont obviously have access to everyday interaction with Indians that have to live on the soil but i do talk to work colleagues and Indians living in the UK.
They are still pretty much pro Modi and believe he needs more time - a tendency of "Rome wasn't built in a day" attitude. The other defence they have is - who is their out their that could or would do a better job and the competition is a bit thin on the ground.
I am of the opinion - anyone that put the nation first is commendable. I am yet to experience a leader in the sub continent that does that - Modi is the first one that shows sign of country first and thats admirable.

It's OK if minorities don't repay loans, Karnataka Congress chief G Parameshwara says
BANGALORE: In the race to appease the minorities in the run-up to the Lok Sabhaelections next year, KPCC president G Parameshwara on Saturday suggested it's all right for them to cheat by not repaying loans taken from government agencies.

At a Congress workshop for here on schemes for minorities, Parameshwara said several people who had taken loans had cheated the government by not repaying them. "The Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation, instead of giving small loans, should sanction huge amounts like Rs 50 lakh. Never mind if the beneficiaries don't repay the loans. Topi hakidre parvagilla (colloquial for 'no issues if they cheat'). Many people and officials have duped government agencies of several thousands of crores of rupees. It's part of the development process," he said.

Also present at the workshop were Union minister for minority affairs K Rahman Khan, former MP CK Jaffer Sharief, minister Qamarul Islam, R Roshan Baig and Naseer Ahmed.

The opposition was quick to react. Former chief minister and Karnataka Janata Party supremo BS Yeddyurappa said a person in a responsible position should not make such statements. "Statements appeasing minorities is wrong. Such statements will definitely have a bearing on the administration," he said.

State BJP president Prahlad Joshi alleged that the Congress has been duping the minorities. "There is nothing surprising in this statement, and Parameshwara has made the party's intentions clear," he said.
