People getting blown up on a regular basis is a long term thing . I don't see that happening in the next 2-3 decades. What will happen is the number of no go areas will increase ! What will also happen however is their sheer numbers will increase while that of the locals go down , their electoral power increases which means their political power increases . Why fight for something when you get it legally ?
What's required here is sheer street power. The kind the other side's used to amassing & the Europeans used to in the 1930s . The kind the Shiv Sena here in Mumbai mustered in 1992-93 or the VHP or the Bajrang Dal brought to bear in 2002 .
For that to happen both the European people & the state has to undergo a sea change in mentality. Merely electing far RW units is only the beginning . If they're going to be a slightly naughty version of boy scouts , it's not going to help matters at all .
All said & done early days now . The situation will become clear by the end of the decade when we'd get an idea of how effectively their economy is functioning . That has a vital bearing on how the polity shapes itself.
