Suppose we do manage to push back the LOC

Given the Logistical constraints , how would we maintain our positions

Pakistan can still drop Artillery shells on such newly acquired territory

Secondly if Pak Army offers to convert LOC as border , will we accept it

What happened in 1965 and 1971? When you move forward in an allout war, the arty of the enemy is taken care of. If you stay put for long in one position, you will need hardened bunkers. But if you keep moving and remain nicely dispersed, the chances are that arty wont effect you much. This is what I was taught in IN but the specialist here on this is @Falcon.

I think sir he is referring to the situation in which we acquire some key heights in POK and maintain our presence there. He is not referring to an all out war.

‘Unnecessary, Uncalled For’: Former R&AW Chief AS Dulat On Bid To Amend Article 370

'Unnecessary, Uncalled For': Former R&AW Chief AS Dulat On Bid To Amend Article 370

Nothing wrong with what he said. He's sending out clues so people ask the govt the right questions.

Like what's the gameplan? If Article 370 was already diluted, then what's the actual agenda behind this move? What comes next? And so on.

The general public is significantly less informed than this forum is. So what's obvious to us is not obvious to others.

Please see the geography of the LC on a Google map and the areas we are talking of. You will be able to answer the questions your self.

Not yet. Process will be long. Some of them are not very cooperative.

Weeks? Months? Years?
Or :censored:? :p

If the Chinese start funding PA clandestinely, would the Pakistanis manage to fight back then? The Chinese dumping $2 or 3B worth of stuff on them every year is very easy.

According to Ayesha siddiqa Paistani army doesn't know how to counter this Indian army .
With economy in doldrums they are absolute no match .

The real test will come when political party will come on one stage and tell pais army to fight.by doing this they can discredit the army and this is the reason army is arresting anybody who is saying that' they have been party to the Kashmir sell out'.

One concerning thing is there is no news on any CASO for days now.

It seems an unofficial ceasefire in valley from RR to keep the things calm on request from HMO.
A GPS locator with a informer.. switched on when he spots terrorists should be good enough during the communication blackout to launch a CASO

Not sure how Indian public become well informed about 370 when a RAW chief calls it "Unnecessary and Uncalled For "
