Good luck & godspeed, #FlyingDaggers & #FlyingBullets! The best aircraft is the one made in own country. But don't give an inch. Because the enemy won't.

IAF Chief - "LCA is the best in its class; take my word for it" https://t.co/EYdKdKdOXG via @realkaypius
Without leadership of ppl like Air Mshl Philip Rajkumar, #LCA pgme would've floundered. As founder-director of #NFTC, AM "Prince" Rajkumar always beamed +ive energy, razor-sharp "tester" acumen & a sense of humour that united warring factions.

We already have 20+ samples in sulur
Pilots are getting trained..
Tactics are getting formulated in Aste.. Mk1A getting planned with private players...
Why can't we double the orders,
Get the defense production in war mode?
160 mk1A at the rate of 40/ year is possible right?
The Only problem with MK 1 A is the limited loiter time because of limited internal fuel capacity
This is why we are going for additional
MIG 29s
We need more planes for CAPs
Let them 1st give an order of 80 Mk1a, I waiting from last year to hear this newsWe already have 20+ samples in sulur

Mig 29 has similar loiter time. The Only problem with MK 1 A is the limited loiter time because of limited internal fuel capacity

Lol, Mig-29 is not a point defence fighter.Mig 29 has similar loiter time.
Both are point defence fighters

Tejas is an indigenously developed single engine, lightweight, highly agile, multi-role fighter aircraft in the arsenal of IAF.

Actuators are now indigenized with Godrej developing completely Indian actuators. Uptill now LCA used imported actuators supplied by Moog...☺Broken link.
These actuators, designed by ADA/DRDO, were successfully tested across all altitudes and speeds of operation, on the 28th of May, 2020.

Yeas it was, USSR has created it like thatvas a point defense fighter. As a last line of defense for Moscow & other important cities.Lol, Mig-29 is not a point defence fighter.
Yes. Just imagine the whole fighter plane and for that matter even commercial planes are controlled by actuators driving control surfaces and so they need to be very reliable and if ADA, DRDO find Godrej actuators good enough then it also opens export market. Also with this I suppose all the things for aero industry are now in place except for a reliable turbofan engine and ejection seat, which is good enough for supporting future fully Indian fighter planes..☺This is a pretty good achievement. I hope it finds its way into Mk1A.
A lot of other critical sub systems need indigenisation as well namely the carbon composites which we important, chips that power the computers, various sub components of the GaA radar, etc are some of the few things that come to the mind first up.Yes.
